Probably get more minutes for us than Ipswich. Never had much of a chance there and when they were getting stuffed on Saturday he wasn’t even in the squad.

Assume it'll mean Veliz will go out on loan somewhere? Which as long as it's in England, I think could be good.

Scarlett can't go out on loan again can he? Because he's already played for us and Ipswich this season.

If we're losing son for a month and we're still without Solomon, Perisic and Maddison (meaning Kulusevski plays number 10). That only leaves us Richarlison and Johnson in the frontline. I can't see Scarlett being recalled to help with the numbers only for us to let Veliz go on loan. They will both likely stay.

Edit. And Gil but the fact I forgot about him says everything

Apparently, Solomon should be back for the FA Cup game first week in January.

Don't we have the same issue with Veliz as he played for Rosario and us in the same year?

Lo Celso could fill the 10 position, so frees up Kulusevski for the wing again.

Still think if we arnt going to use Veliz much this season we need another striker in even on loan to fill a gap for a few months, or one in fully if we won't use Veliz much for a couple of seasons (send him out on loan)

Good to see him thriving.
I've been keeping a bit of an eye out, from a distance and he always seems to be in their top 2 or 3 performers (match ratings wise). He did have a bit of a sticky time after a few weeks but it was likely just finding his feet

I lurk in this thread a lot but don't usually post (thank you for all those that do). Regarding Donley/Scarlett/Devine, I remember a journalist asking Ange in an interview/press conference early in the season about players like Donley coming through into the first team and Ange made a point to mention Scarlett and Devine (who were out on loan by this time), which stood out to me at that time as:
1) He rates both highly
2) he saw them as ahead of Donley at that time at the very least.

Says who?
Says me, as per my post.

Donley has been outperforming his age groups and has been doing well enough in training with the 1st team to keep getting on the bench and a couple of cameos.

Scarlett hasn’t done well enough on loan to get game time.

he needs to come back and impress in training to justify getting on the bench ahead of donley in my opinion.
