can anyone remember when the squad numbers are usually released?

i want to buy the new shirts but need squad numbers first

Read it in an interview, think it was on the front page but they were talking about his similarities with Cruyff and how he wears 14 for Croatia and has asked for that number at Spurs.

On the French tv commentary of the Croatia/Austia match, they referred to Modric as the "Cruyff of the Balkans". By the way Wenger was doing the so-called colour commentary, but I've never heard such a colourless commentator. The miserable bugger hardly said a word and certainly didn't offer a single useful insight. Occasionally he sounded surprised about something his partner said, or muttered something more or less to himself. That was about it.

In the times article it claimed that the number 14 shirt was reserved for him at Spurs because it's the one he wanted. It would surprise me if he wasn't number 14, but don't go and get it printed just yet.

was at the spurs bolton game day after we signed modric - outside the gates about 10am Croatian jurno's had a spurs shirt with modric 14 on back - taking photos of shirt with the main entrance to west stand in background - so modric defo be 14

i was wondering what number Gio would be, he was 17 at Barca this year i think (thats taken by KPB tho).. Unless its all muddled up, ie, Lee leaving, Gilberto taking 3, and Gio having 11?? its all guesstimates... I've also heard Modric will be no.14..

I asked a guy on the kit launch night and he said apart from the new signings obviously, that the players were keeping the same numbers. I wasn't gonna take the gamble of Woody staying no.39 though and Chimbs could leave and Hutton gets the no.2 shirt. So just gonna be patient!

I was told that the Spurs shop staff were refusing to do Modric 14 until it was officially confirmed but that you could take the shirt back later to have it done. I want to have a third year running with Berbatov 9 - keeping everything crossed for that. The great man signed my last shirt so I can't wash it now, need a new one quickly.
