Bentancur for me. Have to be confident that his injury problems are over now and he's as close to a guaranteed starter as we have. Also very hopeful that VdV is very close to a return.

You would think it be Davies but the problem is with Micky due back around the 14th that means Davies will drop out as Ange is unlikely to play two LCBs. So it will be Dier / possibly Dragusin with Micky. So then your likely looking at either Vicario / Bentancur captain.

In the end I think he'll just make a decision on the day. If Ben plays, it's (probably) him. If VDV is back, then Bentancur, if he plays. And so on. I doubt Ange is losing any sleep over it.

The optimist in me thinks Ben will be spent more time on the bench than on this month, which means vdv and a new cb in very soon…fingers crossed.

Davies, no question as he is both experienced and a leader.

Ange is picking longer term younger captains.

Bentancur for these reasons and for his injury comebacks this season and then after him it would be Porro for me.
