as villareal are stuggling it could be rossi but as cahill of to chelski so best buy would be jaglika and offer pienaar on loan for rest of season

but id settle for modric signing a new five year deal

Rossi is pretty much out for the season. Jagielka - 29, injury prone and Everton are bound to want stupid money for him when at best he's a £5m or so defender.

It's bound to be one player that we clearly don't need, who is passed his sell by date, on ridiculous money and who Redknapp can't stop praising - FRANK BLOODY LAMPARD.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least...Lampard is basically a sqaud player now.

Torres - Modders swap..?!! I wouldn't be interested but there may be a few who would take it :)

Junior Hoilett and Moussa Dembele I would be very happy with.

I'm not really bothered about a star signing. I guess it depends on your definition of what a star signing is. Certainly not bothered about signing a big name though.

Berbatov, Bale, Lennon, Bae, Carrick and Walker weren't big name signings but all helped/are helping our club.

I just want us to buy someone who fits our system and way of playing.

Suarez I guess was considered a star signing but he has scored 9 in 30 for Liverpool, Torres was a big name signing but £50m is not looking like a remotely good deal and I'm sure there are many other examples.

Hulk ?

Probably the most "available" of the players we've been linked with and can play across the front line.

Dempsey is a good player, maybe even Fulham's most influential. He's getting on alright but hardly that bad a suggestion.

Cry may have been extreme and I agree he is good, and usually effective against us - but i still think i would be disappointed, simply because my expections are for a younger, quicker attacker with the potential to be far better than CD.

Nothing wrong with that

If they buy a star to go into the starting eleven and make a difference I would probably expect a right winger, it seems to be the position which is least settled. Maybe someone like Ilicic though I havent seen him play and only know what the papers say of him. I expect them to replace Pav aswell with someone like Damiao but provide him with a bedding in time while we have Ade.

I think that given his meteoric rise to the top for club and country, Leandro Damiao would be a "Star" signing

Think it's common knowledge now bud

To be honest, I have always said that Harryvery rarely changes targets. The question is whether deal would be a Harry or levy one. I think that in reality it was a levy deal with profit in mind. However that would be very unlikely now.

Does Leandro offer much else apart from goals?

I think that in the top leagues you need to be able to perform with your back to goal. This is what let's pav down

I know but it seems like that boat is sailing, as he is getting more expensive by the hour

He reminds of Ronaldo but I think Real might go for him now that they have to effectively pay barca for neymar

Got to be a decent winger for me. Lennon injury has highlighted the need for another top quality player in this position.

Just not sure who:think::think::shrug:

Why would Real have to pay Barca for Neymar? Have I missed some news somewhere?
