Today we had a very good goal disallowed and that was the 18th time we hit the woodwork this season!
Well, so what? We won, and it doesn't even really matter if we won or not.
Steed had a chance to make it right at the start of the second half today - but hit the side netting.

uhm.. Whaaat?
Different rules for the big ones, because Ronaldo got a perfectly legitime goal allowed? :hello:
I'm going to bookmark this.
Next time we get a decision against us and it ends up costing us, I'm going to hound you!
I have to lean on the Flatters side of things here - yeah, dissapointing, yeah the ref's gone and cocked up again, but it's not a conspiracy, it does happen to the big teams sometimes and now the only objective left for our squad this season is to play well enough to warrant a place in next years lineup.
Just because a beautiful move is ruined by some poor officiating doesn't mean that the effort and skills the build up required will be struck from the record - that was as valuable as a goal to those involved right now, who cares if we won by 1 goal or 10 goals, at least it wasn't another f*cking 1 - 1

Eh? Why did he need to make it right when he it was the linesman who was at fault? In other words he did nothing wrong in the first place!
I think you missed the point of the thread.

That was one of the best moves of the game and was ruined by the incompetence of the officials.
Wonder if anyone would notice if we made the goal just ever so slightly larger for next season...
¨I think you've rather missed the point. He's not saying that Ronaldo's goal was illegitimate, but that Steed's goal, which was far less ambiguous in terms of offside, was deemed illegitimate.
And saying that the Top Four get a greater proportion of the 50-50 decisions isn't far-fetched at all. I'm sure there are stats somewhere...
