Woodgate is class. I think we got him at a steal of a price to be honest.

I think if it wasn't for the injury problems ones of the so called top 4 would have signed him. We took a risk and its paying off.

Is it just me who thinks that one of the biggest reasons he never really got the limelight as an England contender was because of how determined Sven was to see Carragher as his utility defender? If Woody hadn't suffered so badly from not only injury but bad luck as well, i wonder if Carragher would have gotten a look in.

Now, Carragher's looking like he's on the downward slope as Woody appears to be finding his form again

Woodgate has always been a class act im impressed every time i have seen him play and not just at White Hart Lane, shame about injuries causing him so much havoc, without them he would be the first name on the England team sheet

I am so impressed with Woodgate. Although he has been around for a long time, and has many plaudits, I have to admit, I did not see what the fuss was all about. Now having seen him with the cockerel on his chest, I simply cannot believe how we have managed to obtain a world class centre back for peanuts.

Brilliant work by Spurs in bringing him in, and the possibility of seeing him and Ledley playing on a regular basis at the back next season raises my hopes for a much better challenge in the premiership.

That tackle he made on (I think) Farfan in the box in the second half was awesome...
