Yeh and he got a yellow card for a woefully cynical tackle on Lennon - who got the last laugh at his expense :hump::shake::rofl::clap::dance:carr did make a goal line clearance
He was past his best with us, was never the same player after the double knee injury that kept him out for a year. If you remember how we couldn't wait to get him and Ziege playing together and the anticlimax when Carr finally returned.I've got to say, out of all those that have left us over the years for 'better things' (Berbasulk, Judas, Keane, Sheringham et al) I feel slightly sorry for Carr. I just think he was duped by the Barcodes, they whispered sweet nothings in his ear, and spirited him away with promises of the Champions League. I bet he wish he had never left, he did well for us eventually. He was turning into a decent player.
Stephen Carr was a shining light in dark days at spurs, similar to Ginola but to a lesser extent. He was a great player who left in less that satisfactory terms - in the eyes of us, the supporters - and he played his part today.
thank you Stephen.
