Reported on Setanta that we are after him and that Fiorentina will sell, even better they are apparently interested in Bassong !

Would be an amazing signing.

Would love Jovetic but I doubt there is much truth in this story. He is more of a number 10 Rooney/VDV kind of player than the target man we're after.

he would be a great signing, but we already have VDV.
Like Benny, he has more hair than VDV. He has been compared to Brian May. I don't mind a Queen up front. As long as he scores. Actually, there's something of Donovan about him too... Let's start a band.

would be why levy would be interested with getting rid of an ageing VDV, and looking at Jovetic. But for him to work well in my opinion we need a Centre forward, who can hold up the ball, and is good in the air.

You mean like Adebayor....

He could play the role most people thought Remy would play with Adebayor and VdV. He'd also be cover for Rafa and eventually successor.

Huge talent though and don't think we'd have a chance. Think Juve, Napoli (they are willing to spend 25million plus are we?), Inter, etc all want him.

Can't buy that article because of a 7 million bid lololol. That is like saying United are looking to buy Modric for 12 million. Jovetic is a 20 million+ player easily doubt we'd pay what it would take.

Haha, yes I would!

How do you rate Strinic by the way?

Is that based off that twitter comment, or have you heard something (reliable)?

Strinic is ok, but one of the question marks of our side. Although left back is probably his best position, he's one of those players who has also played in midfield and gets moved around a bit. He's decent, but I'm not fully convinced by him yet. He's got a good motor and has the ability to go up and down throughout a match. Decent going forward, but not known for being a great crosser of the ball. Decent defensively, but prone to some lapses.

Don't get to see him enough at club level anymore, but from what I've seen he's been decent (but again, played in a few positions).

LB was a big issue/question mark going into the Euros. He did ok yesterday, but he'll see how he fares in these next two matches.

No link I was just interested in your opinion as I've never seen him play before.

Could cover either wing and VDV. Everytime I have watched him he has been amazing. If we were prepared to pay 17-18m for Daz Bent then we shouldn't blink of they ask that much for this guy.

7m opening offer does sound like a Levy move.
