Well happy about this. He must have played a part in the absolute scandal that was our recruitment of the past three years or so.
Who was worst TN GLC RS JC ER MD the list goes on I'm sure
So was Poch, in fact depending on what rumour you believe it was all Poch and he didn't want plan b's.

Not saying that's true as I don't know but to lay blame solely on SH is a bit harsh. He was a part of it of course but Poch was running the show despite his complaints to the contrary.

People are getting sucked into Matt Law’s article. The guy hates Tottenham and never has anything positive to say about us.

The fact remains that Hitchen has done a horrid job at Tottenham. He’s wasted millions and millions of pounds and his resignation should be seen as something to celebrate, not cry over.

Yep, he will spin it as negatively as he can.

Our recruitment has been utterly woeful for about five years and people are suggesting it’s a negative he’s gone and he’s better than FP. On what basis?! Madness

He was touted as a French league expert. He will be sorely missed…by the French teams that stitched us up.

Look, either he was responsible in part for our rubbish transfer activity, or he was overruled constantly in which case he was a lame duck anyway. Doesn’t seem like a big loss whichever way you cut it.

FP is overseeing a revamp of the scouting department and I am sure that will include bringing in some lower league experts etc

Can anyone remind me of the successes we signed from the lower leagues under Hitchen by the way? I haven’t seen any.

I don't think he has been all that bad. We had a restricted spending while the stadium build was happening under Poch and then when we finally do make big signings the manager who requested them is sacked. So it's difficult to make a balanced assessment of his time with us.

Although with Paratici coming in, and it being proven that he can work well together with Conte, it makes sense for Hitchen to move aside. Paratici has experienced of knowing how a truly elite team is structured so we really need to trust in his vision to get us to that level.

poch however wasn't responsible for Doherty, Fernandes, Vini, Clarke, Hart, Rodon, Gollini (possibly Gill, bergwjin, Royal)
Seems to be the clubs DNA to spend a lot of money on bad buys

The timing is interesting. Is he a scapegoat of some kind? Or has he left now because he can't possible continue under these humiliating conditions? Surely his position has been untenable since Fabio turned up?

If Hitchen was responsible for bringing in Sicknote Lo Celso not to mention N'Dombele then farewell, must be better judges out there somewhere.
Wonder what the budget will be like at Everton, they got Dele on the never never.

Ok sure or was Jose then in control? The whole DoF model is so that switching managers doesn't cause much disruption but he was never given that role like FP now has.

Rightly or wrongly... I'm not making excuses for the fella, I don't know if he's good or not but I don't think he's ever had the authority to overule anyone

He probably didn’t like being second fiddle to Paratici, fair enough. We’ve heard a lot about his qualities but our transfers during his tenure have been poor, so we won’t be disadvantaged from his departure even if we didn’t utilise him properly when he was here.

Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted comes to mind.
His record is fucking atrocious. Should have been sacked two years ago
