Mason could've done with a rest to be honest. Also think harsh to drop Paulinho altogether considering he has played decently when come on recently. But I like the team, no surprises really bar Rose.

No Ade, again with Soldado. Dumb. At least Andros is on the bench.
Family matters today so I will miss this game, first all season I believe.
Let's hope Harry can drag us through this.

Dat back 4 tho.

On another note, how has Paulinho gone from starting against Newcastle and having a good game, to not even being on the bench- at a time where Mason probably shouldn't be starting.

Whatever. Does it really matter?

Paulinho might be injured.

No surprise with the team, there are players who I would rather not see play due to their current level of form but you knew Poch would keep it more or less the same regardless of form.

In fact if I'm honest, 5 of those 7 subs I'd rather see starting.

Rose on bench due to his hot headedness last year at the Brittania? Probably not, but the crowd would definitely get on his back.

It really makes no sense for Mason to get yet another start. He's not been playing well for months, so you can't really say he should retain his place on merit. Paulinho was very good against Newcastle, missed a game, and then was very good in his sub appearance against City last week. So on recent merit, he should be starting. Considering that he is also prospectively in the shop window, it would do us a bit of good getting him starts in these final three games to see if he's finally finding a bit of form and is worth keeping.

At least Dembele made the bench this time. I'm sure we'll see him come on around the 79th minute, with Soldado on at some point if we are tied or leading, probably around 65 minutes.
