All this negativity must stop I think.

Last night we totally spunked all over the team that has pipped us to 4th. A soft own goal was the difference and if Modric had not missed that open goal I think we would have smashed them. Looking at Lennon's performance last night I felt that Harry needed shooting dropping him in the last few games.

Next year, instead of a slow motion lurcher like Charlie at right back, we should have the monster that is Kyle Walker there, it will be like having two Lennons!

Left wing, I think last night we saw what having a lopsided midfield and an overlapping left back can do, especially with Sandro covering so effectively. I firmly believe we should groom Bale into a left back and try and get someone like Marin or Young to play left wing, someone who will cut inside and add a few more goals.

The central midfield looks awesome. Sandro, Luka and Huddlestone are as good as any 3 in their position. Possibly all of those 3 together in one midfield will be fantastic to see, with Luka having more freedom. Sandro looks like an incredible player.

And of course, just add a couple good strikers and we're there I think. And by there I mean League title challenging there. Without the burden of the Europa League (assuming we finish 6th) we should be at an adnvantage over the other 5.

I wonder where all this leaves van der Vaart. Slow, off the pace and somewhat greedy, I can't help but think he doesn't realy fit in. Great player, but where do you play him? If you want a 4-3-3 so to speak, surely a midfield 3 of Sandro, Hudd/Parker and Luka is best. If you want 4-4-1-1, then we need a striker capable of linking up with him, but is that easy and also who from the midfield would then be dropped?

Personally, I'd rather see the 4-3-3, or even a 4-4-2. I feel the huge lack of goals we've seen from our side isn't just down to poor form of stikers, it's also a little bit down to the influence of VdV in the team, where we've had to change formation, and he hasn't always been on form enough to justify that. On the wing he's pretty woeful if honest. Slow and doesn't track back, somewhat a liability in a 4-4-2.

So yes there are some questions to be asked and some things that need changing, but the future is incredibly bright at WHL, and the emergence of Rose and Walker as full backs make it even brighter. We have a chairman who reacts to situations, and I'm sure he'll react to this crapness from our forwards this season by shipping the lot out.

So stop moaning and COYS!!

Having a good old rant cleanses the soul. Let it out people, if not here then in some kind of primal scream. Right there in the office now, go for it. Tell them your monitor made you do it.

And once the anger is released try to form sentences with your anger and add some quality posts to the discussion. Negativity is always more fun when it's formatted in a debatable way. Otherwise it's just throwing the toys out of the pram.

I was about to agree with you until you dug VDV out.

How any sane supporter can say he's part of the problem is beyond me. Take out his goals and contribution and I dread to think where we'd have been this season.

Far too much negativity and if you dare to say we are disappointed, have had some bad luck, long-term injuries and poor refereeing decisions and have the basis of am excellent squad, there's always someone retorting that we are simply rubbish, awful and dreadful.

That's just not true and it's great to see more positive threads and posts popping up again after all the knee-jerk anger.

I'm looking forward to next season and some good signings that take us where we want to be, stronger than ever.

If anyone expected us to win the Premiership, the FA Cup and the CL this season, or any one of those, then their expectations were far too high and unrealistic.

This really is the worst side I've seen in all thje years I've been watching Spurs, useless bunch of wasters, we're doomed!!!!

Nah not really, to be honest I thought we did incredibly well to get 4th last year and I think this year just shows what an achievement it was, I'm sure some people looking back think getting fourth last year was a forgone conclusion and that we were far and away better than the rest, it wasn't and we weren't.
This season we may just have reached our level as it stands but on the way we've set the Champions League alight breaking records along the way and with people everywhere going out of their way to catch our games.
We will refresh our squad this Summer, we know what is right and what is wrong and what needs changing so I am absolutely convinced that we'll be better next year than this and when your problem is that you are drawing too many games even a small percentage improvement turns those draws into wins.
So much more to come!!!

As much as I agree with the sentiment of trying to remain positive, it really isn't as easy as that.

We had a huge opportunity to cement a top 4 position this season. Improve the squad/ground (which never happened), had a 'decent' run in the CL, the rest of the cup runs were pathetic at best, and our league form has been hugely inconsistant.

We crumble against the lesser teams, and our strikers simply couldn't find form.

Take into account that Liverpool, will stregthen more over the summer, and City will probably buy every top player going, CL next season will be even tougher to achieve.

And yet we still have the task of keeping our best players because we failed to hit our targets this season, for what ever reason.

Agree with most of what you said, but as for the above - could it be that Lennon's performance yesterday was a direct result of being dropped? Might have been just the kick up the arse he needed.
I'm excited about the prospect of Kyle Walker at RB too, but good as he is going forward he'll have a way to go yet to match Charlie as a reliable defender (and probably a way to go to equal Charlie's link-up play with Lennon). Another excellent performance from Corluka yesterday only confirming this.
