and his wages won't be too high either. i think people get too caught up in transfer fees, it's all about the wage bill.

Plucky little Everton continue to be complicit with Chelsea buying up every player they can and then temporarily getting the wages off the books while also helping to take points off their rivals..
The loan system is massively flawed.
I would change it so any player loaned out has to be included in the loaning club's 25 man squad. That would soon stop the likes of Chelsea stockpiling. Wouldn't apply to English players u-23 so doesn't damage youth development.

Okay, so we'd have to include Grant Ward, Deandre Yedlin, Alex Pritchard, Jordan Archer, Grant Hall, etc in our 25 man squad or they couldnt play? That makes no sense. Atsu is Chelsea's only loaned player to everton this year. Lukaku was last year and everton wanted to keep him permanently so they bought him. Atsu is not going to be named for 2 squads, one of which he isnt playing for. Makes no sense. Stop being bitter because Everton got another good player from Chelsea. This is the transfer window. Teams compete and are trying to get better. This is how it works. Chelsea brought up alot of players. And guess what? So did we! We've made 3 youth signings that could potentially be great. We'll have to see. Difference is that chelsea can loan their players to their partner club in holland for a year than decide what to do with them. We have to pick and choose our loans.

Yeah missed that part of the post. Sorry. But my point stands and its even more ridiculous that way! Non english players over 23 being loaned to another club must be named on your clubs squad? That's outrageous and in all honesty will only raise the already outrageous english premiums that already exist in the market.
I'm looking at it from a national team perspective too though.
Might go some way to stop us finishing bottom of our World Cup group. You USA boys are ok, you're improving not regressing!!

I honestly have no idea what to make of Southampton's business. I like the moves for Tadic, Taider and to a (much) lesser extent Pelle. But they've already spent about half of the fees they brought in and for the most part I see a lot of their additions (Long, Gardos, Bertrand) as bottom-tier type of players for the PL. To sell off that amount of quality and simply bring in a majority of quantity-type players over quality makes me think they could have a tough season. I personally think they needed to make 2 (maybe 3) high end signings but it doesn't appear they will really make any at all.

And it appears Pulis may actually be leaving Palace. I think they should be in just about everyone's 3 to be relegated now. Such an idiotic move on Palace's part if it was over transfer business (I can't imagine Pulis was asking for too much).
