Danish paper BT doing its best to sell Eriksen to Barcelona, with loud mouth Bayrum Tutumlu talking crap as usual, I expect this to be picked up by every rag and story tweaked
To be honest, I'm expecting us to have a fight on our hands to keep him this summer. He's been very clear that he sees himself at a Barca type club, if one were to come in, I think he'd become difficult to keep.

I think he will sign a contract with us tbh

I take it you're equally annoyed on behalf of the clubs whose players are being linked with us?

No I'm annoyed at a guy who isn't the players agent going to a big national newspaper basically saying you need to move to a bigger club and make me your agent, very odd don't you think?

What has he said about Barca?

I know it's Sport Witness...but they are only following on from the original BT story.

Joke of a story though.

Destroyed...destroyed I tell ya.

Bloke sounds like a proper knob and I doubt Eriksen (who's a 100% decent person) would have anything to do with him.

Totally agree. Everyone's career destroyed...but as luck would have it...he can rectify.

Creepy egotistical knobwart.

He's previously said it would be hard to turn down a club like Barca, and that he has a plan for his career. The usual stuff. Even though he's laid back, he's got real ambition. Just hope Levy can make him an offer he cannot refuse, because he's been unreal this season.

Not really, This sort of thing happens all the time and, as a club that is high up the food chain, we benefit from it more often than we are disadvantaged by it.

Has he said anything specific about Barca being a dream club? I heard he had a bad time while on trial there as a kid and it put him off them. Obviously that's a very different scenario to now where he's an established star who would be a regular first teamer and would earn a fortune, but it is at least something that works in our favour to some extent.

From an article in the express back in February this year....

Eriksen himself was also well aware of the interest from the Nou Camp at the time and admitted it was his dream to one day play for a side like Barcelona.

"I still have a contract with Tottenham for a few more years,” the Denmark international said.

“Barcelona are a great club. I don't think there are many who say no to Barcelona. In the future I see myself at the highest level. That's what I dream about.

"It can be about two to three years. It may be in another club or it could be Tottenham if we have come all the way up."

All the time? Name a british based player, who has been told to move clubs by an agent who isn't their specific agent

What relevance does the fact he's an agent have? According to that story Eriksen invited him to his house, it wasn't unsolicited advice. Every pundit in the country has an opinion on who should and shouldn't be moving, football transfer discussion is an entire industry in its own right. Eriksen is being touted for a move from Spurs to Barcelona, Sessegnon is being touted for a move from Fulham to Spurs - what's the difference?

As I see it, it was either Coutinho or Eriksen and Barcelona made their choice. They quite recently invested in Dembele as well. With that said it's not totally of out question that they re still interested in Eriksen but they aren't in dire need either, as of now. I'm fairly confident Eriksen will sign a new contract, source: gut feeling.

Because you said it happens all the time which it doesn't, I can't remember an agent making a statement like that in a national newspaper
