So why wouldn't it happen exactly? You've said wages and fee wouldn't be an issue so I'm wondering what the potential hurdles are. I don't doubt that they exist just curious.

Previous post said something about Poch making good decisions from list. Just as an example say he prefers Zaha over bale & he has final say.

I don't blame him. Every inch makes a difference and our constant dragging in transfer windows gone by has let us down to often. Signing Sanchez and Aurier after the first ball has been kicked isn't helpful at all, not now that others are getting stronger. I don't want to criticise Levy too much because he has played the odd blinder but he needs to get it done early now. No more messing about!

We do need a Dembele replacement, next season to transition from one to the other. Lucas looks the right type of player we need. Hopefully a mainstay next season.

Sitting there at full time thinking to myself, what's the point, no matter how good we get we'll never get over the line, something will go against us when it truly matters. I have to wonder if some of those lads are doing the same right now.

Therefore my biggest wish for the summer is to not lose any more of our key players (Eriksen, Dele, Kane, Verts, etc...) as a result of it. Constantly fighting an uphill battle and coming up short must be tiring. Hopefully these guys can regroup, sign the better terms they deserve and come back stronger. If they can achieve together it will be special.

That was a tough one to take today. Thought the Dele quotes suggested that too but on actual viewing I didn't take it that way from him.

Is Wanyama ever going to be the same player again?

Modric next to Dier/Wanyama in CM would be a massive improvement in games like the one we just played, as would pacey FBs like we had last year. Im not going to bother with the Bale suggestion as i cant see it happening in a million years.

Completely agree. We have enough in front it's a real top quality CM match dictator that is required. Someone that can up the tempo and change our play from deep. At the moment it's Dier that is trying to do it and he doesn't have the tools to do so.

Today said to me this crop jut wont ever do it unfortunately.

I don’t know th answer, well I think I do but I just can’t see them coming here for good reason ( why come to a club that doesn’t win anything or pay big money? No point unless they have some love for the club, hence why plenty here, myself included, are hoping Bale and Modric return...straw clutching )

If people really believe we don’t need upgrade offensive players to play with Kane, or alternate etc, i then give up. I rate Sonny, but he is not the one to effect a change. In other words, Sonny? Kane etc need competition. And before someone throws in Lamela, he is not the player to make a difference.
