Tbh tonight was the worst I’ve ever seen sessegnon play. Lost every single take on and pass completions must have been about 50%. Obviously 17 and will have games like this but I’m yet to be convinced. The bale comparisons at 17 are ridiculous he is nowhere near.

I think he's done more than Bale had at 17. Not saying he'll do more on the future but Bale was looking no more the world beater than Sessesgnan at that age. Redknapp was trying to offload him at 19 because he was jinx.

Really ? I thought Fulham bought a LB for the purpose of Sessegnon playing further forward more ? I confess, I haven't watched much of Fulham at all, just regular highlight round ups most weeks and the odd glance at whoscored. Whoscored have him as LB 19 and forward/AM 14.

From watching him, I think he's better as an attacker than a defender. 11 goals and 2 assists in those 14 games from forward areas.

Yeah I agree and most of his recent ones have been in LW so he is progressing that way but I also think the fact he's played in every position down that left side means he's almost perfect for LWB, and if we get him soon enough we can mound him to be perfect for that position, a world class left winger and then LB cover aswell

You must admit about 9 of his goals have been tap ins, great ability to be in the right place, to anticipate. But has he scored a single wow goal? Or a single piece of interplay to drool over? Haven't seen it myself.

Just playing devils advocate, of course I'm still all in for him.

There's a shitload worse habits than the gift of being in the right place at the right time. I just think there's something about the kid, he has that rare combination of pace and a brain with added composure in forward situations for good measure. In a kid who's 17 that's a pretty rare combination.

Imagine how much we would think Edwards was worth if he'd scored "9 tap ins" in the championship this season by end o' February...

Ha. Sessegnon is a million miles ahead of Edwards and Sancho, and ahead of where Bale was at 17 to boot. This place is full of nutters.

Give me Andros Townsend for Spurs, he scores WOW goals!

Townsend. And who knows if he is real/a total div/the new messi/ Marcus Edwards is what I want!

Poch you a mug m8!!!!

Bale at southampton was very good and nearly the reason southampton went up

Bale at that age was more technically gifted, in the championship he was feared because of his crosses and free kicks

Sancho just won the wonder rookie of the month award in Germany, for me breaking into Dortmunds team in his first season in Germany is every bit as impressive as Sessegnon's efforts this season.

As said I'm not saying he's not a huge talent, but I think Foden and Sancho in particular are bigger talents, hardly a diss.

Personally, with no hint, but pure opinion. Between Malcom and Sess, rather Malcom-All day. Guy is just tekkers.

Who's best at 17 is a bit subjective and very debatable, Bale was always an exciting prospect, but I really don't think anyone could say he'd actually achieved more than Sessegnan at 17, could they ? Objectively ?

Malcom has 3 years on Sessegnon & Sancho I think.

I’d take Sessegnon because he’s more versatile to our needs than the other two.

Malcom wants to come to the EPL. I know things change. I am hoping it happens with him here.

I prefer the one we sign and the other is overrated football manager tosh. If we sign neither then I never wanted them anyway.

They definitely need to bring more youth to there side.

Think the average age of there attack was 32 today

If they sign Malcom and Goretska they'll have a frightening team though.

Plus they have younger players such as Kimmich, Tolisso, and Coman.

Fair do’s. For me, if Sessegnon had these numbers at 21 you’d be looking at him with interest for this summer

At 17 it’s about as exciting as we’ve seen in England since Rooney.

I’ll take Sessegnon’s 70 games and 20 goals in the championship over Sancho’s youth team golden boy awards any day.

Having said that, I do think Sancho looks a wonderful footballer. I really wanted him last summer. It’s more that there is still a big variable as to how it will translate.

Sessegnon’s proved he can play with men, and the upward curve in terms of productivity is getting steeper every fortnight
