Hold up play.

Dont think he'd be a bad option myself.
Yep! Ighalo would tick a few boxes. Strength (can shake off defenders better than almost anyone in the PL), pace, desire with the ability to get goals in different ways, has good link up play...so all in all, can be used as either a lone striker when Harry needs a rest, or as part of a front two with Harry for some games. We're going to need this type of versatilty going forward with the demands of the CL, the PL and cups schedule.

Martial would be a good squad player. We will be able to give him Champions League football. Come to think of it the young Manu right back looks a real player and good enough for our squad. Maybe we can get use the Belgian connection to get Eden Hazard who again no doubt would like to play in a Champions league side

Courtois is also better than Vorm.

I hope we sign:
Verts,Lloris,Kane,Alli,Lamela and Potch.

Then I hope we sign a young big back-up striker and possibly a world class CM and RB to improve on Walker but that could upset the balance of the team as Walker is a big character and has done really well this year so being picky. I think we need to shift an attacking player or 2, perhaps Chadli,Pritchard or Onomah on loan and sign a capable back-up striker in the Kane mould.

Otherwise just left this team grow and develop and sign them all to new contracts.

And mabye a cheeky bit for Hazard. We do have the Belgian link and hopefully CL footy. Would like the Chelsea c**** up no end.

We should do what some of the arrogant teams (that were once "big" and are now on the slide), once did to us; nick all their best players with the offer of CL football not to mention playing alongside the most dynamic young team in the PL and about to populate the best stadium in the land. Come and be part of the success.

Indeed. We could do much worse. While it's true that we could also do better, one has to be genuinely realistic in consideration of whether a better option would actually come to a club with such a clearly designated first choice option.

Is Mandžukić still an animal in terms of work rate? Or remotely available? Seems like the sort of striker who would fit.

No, he isn't. Desptie Juve requiring high work ethic out of their forwards he just doesn't seem to want to press much. I think he's been a bit disappointing actually and I still prefer Llorente. Can't see why we made the switch.

Interesting and a shame. Injuries/age getting the better of him?

Well it's a bit odd really. He seems to press only when he wants to prove himself. When he comes off the bench he can sometimes press like a man possessed, but when he's out there playing from the start and the game's not going his way he becomes quite negative. He hasn't been bad, he's got a few key goals, but he just hasn't been that remarkable. I think he's finding the league tough. He may do well over here, who knows.

We might as well put in offers for some big players. Looking at the whole structure and future of our club it looks pretty enticing.

Fair enough. I don't think we've been linked to him or that we'd consider him really, but I thought he'd be a good addition in terms of experience and previous playing style.

Fine, we'll sign Dybala instead.

Let's go for Pogba. He'd be decent back-up for Dier.

In all seriousness I'm not too bothered about making any dramatic changes. The ideal scenario would be to bring in a young striker and a young DM that have loads of potential, but would be prepared to have limited first team opportunities.

Bring in someone like, for instance, Witsel, and it could break up the group dynamic pretty quickly.

We've already got several players that will bring something new to the team next season. Son will improve with Prem experience, we've hardly seen N'Jie because he's been N'Jured for so long, and Onomah will get more game time.

It's going to be very interesting to see how we operate in the Summer. Wouldn't be surprised if our only business is Dembel B from Fulham.
