If we get Champions League football, we could do with some experienced cover for Dier. I'd take a stab at signing someone like Griezmann as well. He should've been our replacement for Bale and he'd fit right in.

Media talk is £50m-60m for Griezmann. Never going to happen.

Griezmann was one of those names I was thinking but would never actually say aloud as I know how impossible it would be. Would love him but will never happen. Unfortunately.

Too expensive with a lot of the big boys sniffing.

Ehem :stop:
We ain't tiddlers if we wanted him I doubt it's a no hope job
I think by the end of this season we are going to look far more attractive to players than a lot of us will believe.

Certainly wouldn't be first choice, guess it depends on who will be in for him, for example we may be playing CL football but a team like Utd still hold the edge over us despite them not likely to qualify.

I'm not so certain to be honest I'd agree if we were talking Charlie big spuds but an up and coming youngster will look at us our squad and how happy they all are and find it compelling

And the team that owns him is going to turn down United's massive offer, which could be easily 20-30 mil more than ours to let him go?

Not likely.

Yep your bang on the money spot on I am such a clutz
I completely forgot that free will does not exist for footballers.
I'll go sit in a corner :p

That totally depends on the player, you'd like to think a young player would welcome playing under Poch but Utd could offer him more money and a chance to play at a club with more prestige, anyway that's just an extreme example but my point is that we can't call ourselves one of the highest boys when it comes to attracting these young players who are sought after by top clubs just yet.

Fully agree
My point was we will still be a very attractive proposition for young hungry players.
Look at some of Eden hazard's quotes ,apart from his bank balance I wonder if he feels he made the wrong choice and not just because of this season.

Don't see any player kicking up a big fuss to go to us instead of United to be honest.

Well he's won the Premier League so I doubt it.

To be honest I know footballers are not always the sharpest tools in the box but as things stand utd really don't look that great a proposition at present it's closer to a circus than a football club right now.

Yep undeniably
But longer term it's not looking rosey
Fans holding up banners manager changes every other week
Interfering chairman
Vile club with such pleasant supporters.

No they don't, but this is the first season in a long time that didn't look worse than what they're going through.

Quite honestly theirs looks like a blip on the radar and so does ours. We historically make the CL and then don't make it again for another several years.

Plus if any of them look at the media they'll think United is going to take Poch and most of our good players, thus stealing our good fortune. Do I think they will? Absolutely not, but those players aren't supporters and followers of the club so they'll have no reason why to not believe what the media is trying to put out there.
