Did Gonalons play for Lyon ? Could he be the CM we are looking for as an alternative to both Dier and Dembele ?

Didn't realise how well Lyon were doing since turn of the year, they have now overtaken Monaco for 2nd place, which means they'll automatically go into the CL group stages.

Perhaps this means Lacazette amongst others won't be desperate to leave.
Lacazette has already said he is leaving in the summer and since he said that, he has apparently fell out (or at least doesn't like) the coach.

Negative. My football knowledge is admirably good. People in this forum should take note at certain things.
I've never rated him and I never will. I think he is very predictable, makes the same mistakes, doesn't learn, no plan B, full of excuses. This manager is all talk, no action. He will drag us to 6th.
We're not top 4 quality and we all know it. Man Utd will slowly comeback into the mix and overtake us with ease and Chelsea are very capable of getting a string of wins. No way will we finish above 5th, West Ham are looking good too.
I honestly believe our academy is in turmoil, very weak tactically and technically across all age groups. I think we're going to have a Manchester United situation on our hands very soon.
West ham, Leicester and Man utd will get top 4 before us.
I look at that Leicester squad and I very much doubt they can get top 4 (in terms of personnel)
Our fall will start now. We wont make top 4.

Yeah, your football knowledge is f@*king awesome!

Wilson looked sharp yesterday for Bournemouth.
He's a good player, though I'm not sure if he can play either side of striker, and he's not a player who holds the ball up like Kane does which is important for our team. Berahino will be the guy we bring in, you just know it

The best thing about this transfer window is I don't feel that we will be held to ransom by any player now we have Champions League football & a clear football strategy that's working.

If they want more money, assurances, it's "never mind, it's your loss, we'll find someone else who is hungry enough to improve & be a part of something extra special instead." Whereas before I felt like we always had to do the convincing. Now things are definitely the other way around, as we are a club with a plan that is working.

The elite CL places are where it's at if you want to call the shots. Let's just enjoy this window and trust Poch, Mitchell etc to make the right decisions. Exciting times. COYS!

Hmmm maybe, but there aren't a lot of players out there to pick and choose from who are as good or better than our current team. We will be competing with a lot of teams this year and the same players. We have to get out top targets

been banging on the lacazette drum since day 1, really hope we get him.

be it 40m, we really need to make an aguero/alexis sanchez/griezman purchase this time to take us into top flight.

Think Arnautovic would be a decent signing. Could replace Chadli and give us a threat from the left. Think he would improve with better players around him.

Exactly what we don't need. We cannot afford a 40 million risk signing. And we won't have a standout player on our team. We are a collective. We have superstars in Kane and Alli.

being a collective comes down to how you train/coach, and looking for the players with the right character.

the price tag is a representation of how much we need to pay in order for the selling club to sell us that player that has both that ability and character. the number does not reflect the player himself.

taarabt didnt cost shit, but he was no collective. lamela cost a fortune, he played as a collective.

I agree what your saying. I just certainly don't see any 40 million players coming in. But they have to buy very carefully his summer

Spot on in todays footballing world price tags should not be what define a player.

indeed. and sometimes the right player will cost a fortune. i would love to discover another alli or mahrez with little to no money, but for every alli theres a 100 jamie ohara. the thing about certain players being more expensive is the fact that they have proven themselves against a certain level of competition/opponent thus they are a smaller risk to take.

currently from what i see, lacazette is the one. theres little to no chance of us buying a PL star because of the money parity so we most likely have to get someone from overseas. but at the very end of the day, if our club says we got the right star in this 400k player, i will believe in him just as much as a 40m player
