Well Benteke has been whored around for the last 6 months by his agent, so there would be no surprise there. No way could I see the other 2 going there, they will have far better offers elsewhere.

I hope you're right - I don't think I could stomach them signing either batshauyi or lacazette instead of us. To be honest, I think there is a chance to get a real world class talent who would be perfect for our system, and could play anywhere in the front four, in lacazette. I also think batshauyi would be an excellent alternative to Kane, although I wouldn't be as upset to see him go elsewhere if we'd wrapped up lacazette...

Xhaka looks to me like a left footed Dier. So I wouldn't think he'd be what we need, I can see the goons going for him tho, but I'm not sure he's quick enough of body and mind for their team. It'd be interesting, he could turn out to be the solidity they need.

Dahoud is very similar to Mason. Maybe a slight upgrade. I think if we're going to get a new CM, then he needs to be substantially better. Shame we missed out on Rabiot.

And I think Bentaleb will be off. Shame, cos I had high hopes, but he is prone to the odd brain fart ala Walker, and we can't have two of them playing square passes across our box.

We don't need any more acms.

A striker who can withdraw wide on top of what we already have is plenty. Lacazette or Batshuyi please.

Dier is rcb cover, we need dm cover for him. Happy with Wanyama given he should be cheap, the striker will cost a bomb and Levy has a stadium to build. Keep it real.

I do like Llallana, but his fee and wages combined? I'm not sure I can spell his name either. Lemala and erikson already give some of us more than enough difficulty.

I know we have a stadium to build, but we now have guranteed CL revenue and the new TV deal.

I don't expect us to go mad, but there is no excuse for not securing a quality striker and unfortunately they cost money.

If Poch is set on who he wants there is no reason to piss about. You snooze you lose I'm afraid as far as this is concerned.

I agree. And I fully believe in some cunning summer business this summer. :hungry:

I have one major concern about Batshuayi. We don't create enough chances for a conventional 9 which is what Michy is. Kane often creates his own chances by moving wide and shooting from angles. We rarely put crosses into the box that would feed a conventional 9. Batshuayi has the physicality to do the hold up stuff and counter attacks but I'm not sure where his goals would come from. Lacazette on the other hand would fit like a glove IMO.

Wet Spam chairman thinks they're down for 2 or 3 "top" players with Sky suggesting they could be Batshuyi and Lacazette with Benteke as an alternative.

CL teams will come in for both Batshuyi and Lacazette, but with a free new stadium, Gold has to be seen to be at least attempting to lure decent players in.
He can then come out with the old Levy excuse of "we tried, but others offered better deals".

Batshuyi (from the very little I've seen of him) looks and plays like a strong pacey CF - would compliment our attack well through the middle, whilst Lacazette might add more of a goal threat for us from the wings or the middle

Ultimately we have to trust our scouting team to go for a player that will work for us but I'd love one of them at Spurs.

West Ham have made some super transfers though.

See Elphick from Bournemouth is talking up Mason as an ideal buy for the club. I would be surprised if he ended up there, but I do think we could really do with upgrading him.

Hilarious. You're missing the point, I clearly said that I don't expect us to sign a bunch of superstars and don't want us to. I just don't want to go back to Harry's wheeler dealer signings unlike some

I didn't miss the point. I was just being silly. Don't take it personally, it wasn't meant as a direct slating of your point
