First of all, I would like Potter as a manager. I think he can do a good jon in a club with players like Son and Kane.

With that said, regarding transfers, we need to be smart. We have bought players like Lo Celso, Reguillon and Bergwijn for expensive money from clubs that participate in european tournaments. And lets be honest, so far its a waste of money.

You can find gems from clubs in the bottom half of the Premier League, but also in The Championship. Look at Watkins and Bowen. They are excellent. The same goes for players like Bogle, Berge and Andersen (loan). Look at Lamptey and Bissouma at Brighton. Or Buendia from Norwich (excellent player) and Toney from Brentford who scores for fun in The Chamionship.

I agree that there are some cracking young players out there, who are hungry and inexpensive.

Makes me even more mad when you look at our transfer dealings for the last 3 seasons!

I honestly believe that we have total numpties running our club!

I hear Soumare is on his way to Leicester.

Another one missed.
Another one missed because he's going to different club? He isn't homegrown, he isn't defensive mid and he isn't any creative. Ndombele is much better than him. Very similar profile to Winks btw.

Hoping a new manager can get the most out of Reguilon and rediscover some of that earlier season form but woo-boy he needs to defend at least a little bit. Otherwise, LB could become a need sooner rather than later, unless Sess overtakes him.

I think its very obvious we need to switch to a 3atb to get the best out of reguilon/sess next season and hopefully we can secure a rwb. obviously this means we have to make 3ish defensive signings (if we want some cb's that are comfortable in a back 3) and well idk how levy's brain works

You've pretty much described Sissoko. Where they differ is that Soumare can maintain possession, pass the ball accurately and help defensively. Skipp is pretty much earmarked to take Winks spot in the squad.

football.london understands that Tottenham would ideally like to bring in two new centre-backs this summer and to do so they need to move at least a couple on.

I have a feeling Toby and Sanchez would be the first two out the door in that respect.

Toby cause he's getting closer to the end and last chance to get something for him and Sanchez cause he'll be judged more expendable than Dier.

Even if that's wrong.

I don't see Dier getting any better, Sanchez COULD (prob not but at least he's relatively young)

Progressive carries and Dribbles completed kind of put that down as he's a strong, powerful dribbler. I agree that N'Dombele could be better, he probably is but the strength of Soumare is impressive and what seperates him from Winks.

Just coming in to post that. That’s us fucked then!

Here’s the actual quote, which is a bit more cutting:

“football.london understands that Tottenham would ideally like to bring in two new centre-backs this summer and to do so they need to move at least a couple on.

On the evidence of this season though they will struggle to garner much interest in those players they would be happy to move on.”

Sounds like the same old story tbh, its been like this for years

Maybe if we actually placed realistic prices on our players then they'd generate sufficient interest. The lack of outgoings is IMO what has held us back (or pushed us back) since the prime-Poch years.

Levy really just *needs* to bite the bullet and be willing to accept less favourable terms for our players, and then in turn use the money wisely (wishful thinking I know) to build our next 'era'.

Although I really wouldn't be suprised if we start next season with the same CB's we have now.

Do you expect us to have like 7 or 8 senior CB?

My bet is on Vestergard and Andersen. Both Danish, probably close with PEH.

Vestergard is a clown, but a cheap one, so I guess Levy will be tempted

A DoF who makes his own mind up on individual targets against an overall budget is needed otherwise there will be no tomorrow
