just glad i logged on this morning and didn't see the words Jewish worship in the thread title..
minor victory of common sense over idiocy

While I do LOVE the idea of 'Chrisday', I do think that playing on a Saturday would be just so much easier.Chrisday could be squeezed in between Saturday and Sunday if we all give up a few hours sleep per night and take that time off of the original 7 days to make the 8th.
But It's a fact that Jewish worship has been associated with our fixtures, in the club requesting Yom Kippur to be free. So it made at least some degree of sense being in the thread title.just glad i logged on this morning and didn't see the words Jewish worship in the thread title..

One of the most bizarre threads I've ever seen. Chris, go outside and get some fresh air!
Biggest myth associated with this football club.
My argument lies with why we cannot be shown on Sky's Saturday 17:30 slot instead of Sunday.

Chris have you thought about lobbying for a new day to be added to the existing 7? It could solve all the problems couldn't it?

Am I the only one who finds this thread funny?
Utterly bonkers and pointless, but I can't help laughing to myself every time I look at it.
This. I'm delighted he's not stopped tbh.
17 pages on 1 persons dismay of Sunday fixtures with assumptions and conspiracy theories with no substance or facts to back anything up.
Unless you polled every Spurs fan, you're not going to get an answer if the majority of Spurs fans are in agreement with you. You haven't even done a poll on here for starters.
As it's been said numerous times, we play Sundays due to commitments midweek in Europa, or because of being on TV or because of policing. It's not going to change, if you feel that strongly about it, write to the Premier League, Sky or Uefa, not sure why you constantly bump this thread on a one man rant is actually achieving apart from work yourself up.
Me personally, it doesn't matter. Due to my knee, I no longer play on a Saturday, but work some weekends, so would miss the game whether it would be on a Saturday or Sunday. My preference of day is neither Saturday or Sunday, it's any day that I have no plans on. And being on sky is a lot better, unlike fans abroad who seem to get more premiership viewing than us, as it enables people who can't get to the game watch it, without relying on some dodgy stream.

Nothing to do with why we play on Sundays, it's just the whole 'Yom Kippur' thing came up earlier on in the discussion.Arsenal also ask to play away on this date too.
So what has that got to do with anything?
No it's not a hard concept at all. Of course we do not have a say in this. But it still doesn't mean it shouldn't be raised for discussion. Like I've said. Some of the Sunday selection do not make any sense. I mean Man Utd v Scum is coming up later this month. A massive game. Yet it's not on the much higher rating Sunday (Sky TV ratings) instead it's on Saturday 17:30 and we are on Sunday. It's just so fucking annoying. We don't have a say in this, if sky wants us to be on tv at that time, then sky make us play, we can't go to sky and ask to be on TV then.
The sa,e with Sunday games, if sky wants us on a Sunday we move to the Sunday.
Not a hard concept to get I thought.
