Why are they called super agents? Is it because they are super shrewd and super-after money only or...?
If they get a foot inside the Spurs camp it can spell disaster, because all those sleazy agents care about if money and power, and more money and power. And we know Spurs can't compete when it's all about money.

Yes basically and maximise the revenue for their clients - wages, image rights etc etc and help engineer a move to the big clubs where selling shirts and image as important as ability

Exhibit A: Pogba.Paul

If i am brutally honest we didn't appear to miss him last night. The list of players wanting out of Spurs over the past is a long one with Carrick, Keane, Berbatov, Modric, Sheringham, Walker and Bale to name a few.

I really don't care to be honest, and if a player does not want to be here, and i trust Levy to screw every penny out of the buying club. Does anyone seriously think we have missed Walker? I for one think we have improved in that department.

Time will tell, but Levy is the last Chairman any footballing agent would want to take on over the future of a player.

Say whatever we like about Daniel Levy, but one thing's for sure, I'm bloody happy he's on our side.

Still can't believe there are fans out there who think talent like Alli is so easily replaceable. Still got a few body language experts out there thinking they know all about his character based on him looking moody occasionally.

Agents help players maximise their revenue. For players now this isn't simply wages and signing on fees. Alli's image is being used absolutely everywhere, adverts, computer games etc. A big name agent who can handle this seems a sensible move.

We have made our interest known to him ;)
Would absolutely love this to happen, he is such an incredible talent. My guess tho would be that if we ever make a move Pool would come in and offer him twice what ever we offer. I would think Klopp would be just as big a draw for him as Poch would considering his history. Still, would be a very clever signing for us and worth spending
large coin on.

It an easy one, and not bothered about Pool neither. Sess signing 'may' defer our plans if it happened.

For everyone saying we didn't miss him on Wednesday - the key was that we were playing on the counter attack, a style he's not remotely suited to. But how often do we do that? Wednesday was pretty much the first time ever under Poch (though I hope we do so again against the strongest teams as it's super effective and very exciting to watch).

For any normal game Alli is incredibly useful - sure there's too much Bambi stuff and bumbling, but there's also almost always a killer key pass or run into the box which earns us the points.

I'd also suggest that the reason we didn't appear to miss him much against Dortmund was in large part due to the fact that we've got a great squad of players many of whom can justify starting places (like Son). That's just a good thing - we don't want to lose that depth we've been missing for so long now that we have it.

Dele will be here in 12 months! He is super happy.

On unrelated note, we are into Pulistic (Sorry, probably spelt wrong).

I just want to see him smiling after scoring tomorrow against Swansea. Something is up, he doesn't seem that happy on the pitch. Maybe he's just not over enamoured with how he's playing. Only he knows.

Personally think he will leave us, even if we are winning trophies/the league. But not for a few more years. If the money is right, I would not be devastated by his departure, sad yes. But If the price was good and we got a decent replacement for half the money, great.

Bet many thought losing Bale would have a negative effect, but in truth, we have steadily got better. So not worried at all.

Just enjoy him while he is still in a spurs shirt

Tomorrow I say just watch him or go back and watch highlights of our goals this season, or even the end of last season, his immediate reaction is often not to be happy when anyone other than him scores, especially if he is in a position to. He just strikes me as incredibly competitive and always wants to score all the time once the game clock starts. Burnley was a fluke and probably a combination of a half time talking to and annoyed at himself for missing the first shot.

That post during the transfer window, can't remember who it was, about 'don't be surprised if we see Bale back at Spurs next season' gets me thinking that a 'super agent' with connections to RM will move him there with Bale coming the other way!

No surprise on Pulisic. We've seen Levy go in for American players time and again, and the cost of building the new stadium was nearly doubled so that we could forge ties with the NFL. With the Premier League exploding in popularity in the States the potential commercial benefits are bigger than ever. Increasing the club's profile in the US could pay huge dividends in terms of commercial sponsorships, stadium naming rights, etc.

Pulisic is by far the biggest talent the US has ever produced and whatever English club lands him will instantaneously become the media darling of the American press. I'd be surprised if he hadn't been earmarked as the first choice replacement for Dele or Eriksen should either be sold in the next few years.

IF we do manage to get Pulisic, I wonder how much influence Nike would have in the deal?!!!

Can't see dele not leaving some point in the next few years, but if we get top dollar for him(150+) then it's not the end of the world

Especially if we got pulisic, dream scenario

Put it this way we should be using this tactic against a lot more top teams Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal especially would also try it against Chelsea as they always do it to us... We have a squad and we need to utilise the best players and tactics to win.. Too much sentimental and favoritism in this forum... personally I think there are definitely games where Son or Llorente is better suited than Alli etc...

Yes heard that rumour again the other day when talking with a journalist and someone who knows a Spurs director. Really don't want to lose Dele as there is so much more to come so hope this is only conjecture

Certainly going to be interesting, would have assumed after Dembele leaving, BVB would demand mega money for Pulisic. Then again, he might have a reasonable release clause. Also, very interaged to see IF we manage to get Sess where he would play. I always assumed he would be a long term replacement for Rose but there is also the possibility we bring him in as and winger. Personaly I believe Pulisic would be the better option if we were looking for an winger/atracker. Time will tell I guess.

Im not convinced he's good enough for Madrid or Barca, especially at the price he would demand. Their fans would tear him apart. He's clearly got an incredible end product, the stats speak for themselves, but his all round game needs a lot of work. I can't remember the last time i watched a spurs/england game without a commentator mentioning how Alli has been very quiet for a player of his quality... it's only spurs fans that realise this is pretty standard for him.

Absolutely bang on.

Every single match he seems to not really be involved much, try a few flicks in the wrong places.

Everyone in the match thread wants him subbed and he pops up with a bit of magic or is in the right place at the right time and scores.

No doubt the lad has got so much potential but to be at the standard for real or Barca he has to control games a lot more.

I agree that we didn't appear to miss him last night, but that is more to do with the growing depth of the squad than the talent of Ali.

We have adequate cover for him, but if hr left we would have to find a replacement of at least equal standard in order to maintain the current standard of 'the squad'

Imo we would miss someone of Ali's calibre should he leave. He is only going to improve. Yes there are the murmerings of arrogance in his game, but controlled that can prove to be a good thing.

I think that Levy is of sound enough mind to realise that we need to start stocking the trophy room of the new stadium with trophies or the top talent will be looking to see what there is elsewhere, but i also think that he has set our stall out in such a way with long contracts etc. that if a player wants to leave we are not going to screwed over any more.
