we really have had a crap tournament. even in our wins, there have been many passengers. compared to 2009 when we were the form team, looking the best side apart from the final. we've never really clicked here. one or two elements would be firing and the rest struggling. every time
and if jayasuriya ever plays for SL again i'll be even more angry
Barring a miracle today I can only see an Australia v England final, which is what those two teams deserve being easily the strongest two teams in the tourny. Should be a great game and difficult one to call.
If the Paks do make it, England should win but the problem with Pakistan is their unpredictability. They can potentially beat any team on their day.
I can see it now...somehow for the second T20 tournament in a row, Pakistan will sneak through and win the thing after being dreadful for the group stages and the super 8's!
That said, i'd much rather play them than Australia!
The Aussies are currently 22-1 after 2 over with the dangerous Warner having departed.
Hussey got 60 from 24 balls. They needed something like 43 from 15. They need 18 off the last over and got one from the first ball. Hussey then got a 6, another 6, a 4 and a final 6 to win it.
Yeah great game, the Aussies look so strong - I mean Hussey (m) coming in at no 7. To be fair over the tourny the Aussies certainly deserved a final spot and definitely ahead of Pakistan.
it will but they are on the best form i can ever remember england having in limited overs. and there's no gilchrist who can just go beserk in a final and annihilate you in no time, take it from me, 2007 he had a very quiet tourney and then in the final just hulked out and hammered us senseless. i don't think they australia have an individual capable of quite that now
