I'm not too disgruntled with tonight's result, i think we gave a fantastic account of ourselves. Slightly concerned that we haven't quite find our killer touch this season but hopefully we will in time for Twente's visit in a fortnight.

Just wanted to touch on a few points i noticed during tonights match which has left me quite suprised really.

Two players who have been part of our club for a combined 12 years got their chance in the big time tonight and i am so shocked with the outcome.

Jenas on the ball looked comfortable, composed and i saw a touch of class to his game that makes me believe that european football suits his style of play. I finally see what all the fuss with him is about he is a bloody good player when he wants to be.

Whilst my beloved superstar international world class tottenham till he dies Robbie Keane came on and had a massive chance to show we wont miss JD and yet he offered the team no more than an empty packet of crisps and continually slowed the game down.

Sorry thats the end of my rant just expected more from Keano tonight but other than that, get in you Spurs!!

Massive thank you to all the fans who actually went tonight they were amazing for the whole game.

Let's home we can make an example of Wolves on Saturday, we owe them.....

The killer touch was there (2 away goals against a very good and fairly experienced European outfit?!)

Shame we couldn't have held on for the win though. Think we might have done with a fit VDV/Modric. Who knows though?

Two goals ought to be enough away from home, can't really expect to score too many more.

jenas looked great in the first half, but werder didn't press us at all and were quite poor in that respect.
keano was aboslute dogshit until palacios came on, we seemed to switch to a 433 and suddenly the shape looked right and there was a reason for him being there. i think that's his future for us, not to play him as a link striker where h edrifts about and gets lost, but rather specifically on the right or left of the lone striker (pref the right) and be told to work that area of the pitch /those defenders.

if he did start a game in that position it does not mean the end of lennon, im sure he could do a job on the right side of a midfield 3.

Last season we were very fortunate that the players that had been almost disregarded came in and did a fantastic job for us. Bale, kabou, Pavl and Bentley in particular. kabould has built on that and is really pushing to b first choice now. Jenas has had an excellent 2 games when he has played this season, hopefully he will be our surprise player this season.
