No Dembele? Highly controversial given his current form and ability to boss big games like this.
Whilst I agree, Mason offers more going forward whilst Dier is better screening the back four. As for the reason for leaving out Dembele in AM, is that Eriksen should start against these lot and he shouldn't start on the LW.

Arsenal have huge injury problems down that Right wing and I rather that we field a player that will attack Campbell and Debuchy, whereas Eriksen will look to cut in whereas Son can do that despite the poor showing on thursday

The only two places I'd consider playing him is ARM or ACM and I prefer Lamela and Eriksen in those positions right now. You could shift Eriksen to the ALM but I think we need Son to provide some directness and energy, especially as Debuchy is pretty shit.

Not keen on Mason starting, I'd like to see Dembele partner Dier. I'd still like to see Alli start as well more centrally forwards. Son can come off the bench to try and change the game if we are chasing a goal, and we can use Mason's energy late on if we are running out of steam. I've never been a huge fan of Dembele but his past few games he deserves to start this one

---------Lloris--------

Need to be keep it tight early on and I think we'd be better off using Son as an impact sub running at Debuchy. So...

Lloris
Walker Toby Jan Rose
Dier Mason
Lamela Eriksen Dembele
Kane

Mason and dembele both needed for this. Son can come on for ce or el, one of whom will go missing. Theyre just like that, a lot of the time. Rose a short head above bd, but he needs to keep his cool and avoid an early yellow.

Fear giroud will get in between our cbs so the belgian boys will need to track such runs and maintain concentration.

Fkin hope koscielny dont make it, or is only 80% or so. We could pick them off if so.

Coys.

I don't think Poch will change up the winning lineup from Villa but this is who I would choose:

---------------Lloris
Walker--Toby--Verts--Rose
--------Dier---------Mason
Lamela--Dembele--Eriksen
---------------Kane

agreed none of the of the attacking three midfields deserve or should be dropped, nothing wrong with bringing Son on against a tired slow arsenal side. Alli has been fantastic but he looks like he just needs a bit of manging atm, mason has looked sharp when healthy and always gives so much against arsenal.

Either way i just hope we dont make things easy for the scum, when or lose ill be proud COYS!!! :singing::singing:

I think Dembele coming on a substitute will have a bigger impact than Mason coming on as one. Mason did very well last season, but this is only if Son isn't fit otherwise they both start with Dembele up top.

If we are leading the game & want to maintain status quo then Dembele as sub is ok. But if we are chasing the game, I would rather want Mason to be sub - who can take the risk & pas forward a bit more faster.

Poch doesn't take any chances with players coming back from injury. That means no chance of Son starting today. Dembele has to get the nod. He can flatten those Gooners with a swing of his big ostrich-arse.

Hope son starts this. I would play lamela just behind striker, eriksen on left and son on right.
