i thought gallas was shocking on wednesday. really bad but dawson was just as worse at times.. that pass to liverpool player at one stage in second half was just absolutely shocking and sums him up in a second... for all his heart one mistake can really cost us... saying that we have no other option at moment so it has to be daws and caulker at center half..

really not sure what spurs will turn up on this one but the way avb is talking about tiredness and all that it really worries me and pisses me off too.. if they are feeling tired then at least save that excuse for after the game not before it for fucks sake..

It was more an explanation for our meek second half performance the other night.

Our squad with just BAE back will look so much better. Great to hear he's expected to be back at training in the next week or so. Ah, Verts and Caulker as our full-time CBs will be lovely (and only improved more so when Kaboul gets back).

I hope so. I'd rather Naughton at left back and Vertonghen into the middle, but anyone saying Dawson ahead of Gallas is doing so for sentimental reasons.

No, they are not. (Or at least I am not—and this from a man who once described Dawson as looking like a stunned haddock.) I agree Daws hardly shone against Liverpool, but Bunglin' Bill was worse, and Daws at least has a convincing cover story. The Chelsea game was surely conclusive evidence that Gallas be consigned to the glue factory ASAP.

well he should have kept it to himself.. when does one hear of tiredness from ferguson.. he uses it cleverly as excuse to rest players and only says it after matches when game is won but avb saying it creeps into players heads and give theme xcuse to put in even more half arsed displays before ball is even kicked..

some of the stuff he comes out with is nonsense at times . time and place and right now he should be driving players on and reminding them of batterings at city and arsenal and nothing else.

Didn't know BAE was due back so soon. I thought he'd been absorbed by his afro.

A back four of Walker Kaboul Vertonghen and BAE will be fantastic. It will also help to take the pressure off Caulker, who, despite doing a brilliant job, is still young and learning.

maybe kaboul could play at rb for a bit when he gets back, we need a bit of power down that side
