I think if son is out then put richy on the left with veliz up top.

make sure with him and richy, we get lots of crosses in as they are good in the air and Luton will play a low block.

Veliz has great movement and is a threat in the air and simply not worth son being risked if he then is out for a few months with an injury.

Gil can then be given some minutes on the left as a sub (replace veliz and move richy up top if it’s not working or veliz is tired) and donley for Maddison if we need to manage his time.

Luton will be tough to break down but once we get a goal it will open the game up.

Vicario
P.Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie
Bissouma
Sarr, Maddison (c)
Kulusevski, Richarlison, Santiago

Forster, E.Royal, Phillips, Davies, Højbjerg, Skipp, Donley, Bryan, Véliz

Son to sit out this and international break so that we have him for rest of season.

Not against that if Son is out, but given we don't have the 1 on 1 ability to get behind their low block, I'd like to see something like this.

Move the ball quickly and work the triangles to find good crossing angles.

Vicario
Romero VDV
Emerson Bissouma Udogie
Kulu Madds
Porro Veliz Richarlison

The idea of resting anyone is madness. If they can play, get them out there. We have the least possible number of games and there's an international break right after
And we've looked a bit toothless after Son's gone off in the last couple of games. We can't underestimate Luton.

Was a rumour that Son has a hernia issue could be bollocks but would make sense why he’s being rested during the week and not able to play 90 minutes

If we had a players that could get crosses in the box for Ricky I would have suggested this was a good game for him to play CF.
If we were to start Veliz I don't know who is going to deliver for him but apparently his hold up is very impressive.

Maybe I missed it, but we are going top if we win this.

And there’s a good chance we’ll stay there too over the break.

I don’t want to see another rotation/rest comment. Let’s get the 3 points and see how we are after.

Yup strongest possible team please. Rest if we're fortunate enough to have a comfortable lead in the game.

Make sure of the result first though.

I was nailed on sure that we should have rested players against Sheffield United in the cup last season, so cannot in truth trust myself to have any kind of a valid clue when it comes to any type of rotation. With that in mind...balls out, strong as humanly possible, go top of the league and sit there over the break feeling good about our situation.

Son was in the training vid today. You'd think that it will be the same team that started against Liverpool. If things go well then we might see the introduction of Donley and Veliz. Santiago is an outside bet, but you'd think we'd more likely see Richarlison play the full 90 off the left.

Need to go strong with as many experienced heads as possible, quite a few of our lads won’t have experienced anything like it before.

Bryan Gil in some of the training vid , really don't see Santiago getting on the bench over Gil , big step up from U21's.
Good performances in the U21s means nothing, remember Markandy , Mundle etc have to put your trust in the coaching team to decide when youngsters are ready to step up.

PS Plenty of promising youngsters at Spurs although they have gone on to be good professionals never made the step up to the 1st team. Edwards got 15 mins in Caraboa Cup , Pritchard 12 mins in two PL matches, Cirkin zero appearnaces , never made the bench.

Porro on the right flank overlapping instead of the underlap we're always doing. Kulu inside instead.
