* pray Biss doesn't pick up another yellow as Chelsea have a powerful midfield and we need him for that

I would be to frightened to play Bissouma and have him get suspended for the Chelsea game. I thought Hojbjerg played well enough to keep his place. Otherwise I wouldn't argue with your team.

PEH
Sarr ---- Maddison
Kulusevski ------------ Johnson
Son
Forster, Emerson, Davies, Phillips, Bissouma, Lo Celso, Bryan, Richarlison, Veliz

I'd start PEH and only bring Bissouma on if the result is in jeopardy.

I agree with this. I can't see Palace pressing so Bissouma won't be as crucial here as he will be against Chelsea.

Biss starts for me. You start your best players, we can’t live in fear of a yellow what will be will be.

Also, he’s going to the African cup of nations in a few months anyway so we need to know how to get by without him for a few games. Might as well get a few in now.

Better to get the games without Bissouma in against the likes of Fulham, Palace, and Wolves than against Chelsea.

Poch is beginning to put his imprint on Chelsea and we’ll desperately want Bissouma available against their press.

Palace on the other hand are a side we ought to be able to dispatch without him. Hojbjerg was very good yesterday and is more than capable against mid-table opposition.

I agree with this point of view and the one to start him.

Tough call for Ange.

Four yellows in eight games is silly. Biss needs to be better than that and I'm sure Ange has had that discussion with him. You don't sit him, you tell him to get his butt out there and show some professional discipline.

Edit: stupid me. Six yellows with one net red. Beyond silly.

Some of his yellows were ridiculously soft to be fair. The double yellow was really stupid though but I'm sure he's taken that onboard.

Hopefully Bissouma has learnt his lesson and stops making as many niggly fouls. He has to start though

At least Bentancur should be fit
By then.
I cannot decide if Bissouma should start against Palace, we do need him for the Chelsea game.

I’d go unchanged personally. We can always bring Bissouma on off the bench if we need him.

A little contradictory… 2nd paragraph suggests PEH should start.

(I don’t think there is a “correct” answer here, and am wary of anyone knowing which to start for sure)

Biss in for PEH. Otherwise as you were, injuries permitting. Simples.

Let's not overthink things.

Yeah, the wording wasn’t good there, my bad. What I meant was that if he picks up a yellow against Palace and misses the Chelsea game it’s a game where we can get used to playing without him. Goes without saying that ideally he starts both Palace and Chelsea but will look at the positives if he does get suspended again.

I have faith that Ange will pick Biss. No idea why some think we’ll find it easy to win this without our strongest team.

Theresa reason the one game at a time cliche is the oldest in the game…

Id swap Bissouma in for PEH and ask him to play 'within himself' a little like Romero has done this season.
Bench of Forster, Royal, Dier, PEH, Skipp, Veliz, Johnson, Gil and GLC looks pretty strong to me too (though i have no idea how many we're allowed these days?)

Full strength. Richy in the front 3, reckon he’ll bag a brace in this one. 2 headers.
