I want Rodon to get a game but that's not to say Alderweireld hasn't been good enough because he's been great last 2 games. I simply think this is Rodon best opportunity to get some minutes.

Bale increasingly coming into the equation as his fitness increases, ditto Lo Celso. Key to point out that the Sissoko / PEH pivot gives both FBs the platform to attack. Put Lo Celso in for Sissoko and you’ll be seeing Davies in at LB.

With a chance to go top going into the international break, and a very tough run of fixtures after that break, I simply cannot see Jose throwing Rodon into the starting XI, or starting Lo Celso and Ndombele in midfield together.

I'd start Dier, assure the points then hopefully Rodon gets 30/40 mins. The line up is looking like a very good team.

Yes, especially after Jose told the media he was not happy with Gios off the ball movement.

Obviously a minor issue but Jose deciding to give him a breather as we'll need him for that mental run after the international break right up to the festive period.

Think we use it a bit to go a) no risk and b) include another player a la Bergwijn or Vinicius in the PL matchday squad.
