Obviously a minor issue but Jose deciding to give him a breather as we'll need him for that mental run after the international break right up to the festive period.

It's a good idea imo.

Couldn't agree more ... great management of a player who always performs in the big games.

Fully agree with both of these. Thankfully this is a thread for the team you’d like to see, not a ‘predict the correct team or your head will explode’ thread ?

Well aware of that!

Merely suggesting a sprinkle of realism into people's team selections!

The thing is we need to get certain players up to speed so I can see some risks being taken vs what is a poor West Brom team. The fact Jose has been so clear in the effort levels he's demanding recently to me makes me think he's trying to get the team to maintain the standard even when we make changes.

Sissoko PEH and Ndom in midfield... with perhaps Lamela Son and Kane up front ... id be intrigued by who is at the back - will it be Sanchez and Dier with Reggie and Aurier at full backs?

I fully expect a 7-1 win for us otherwise heads will roll and it wont be from Jose...,

Lamela is out of this one.

This would explain Thinktanks absence ever since continuously starting Foyth at DM in these threads, though.

I find these threads funny because regardless of who we play 90% of people just post the dream line up Lo celso and Ndombele, Bale starting etc. If only football was as simple as that we wouldn't need managers.

On one hand, i’d like to save breaking out our best players for the upcoming 3 game stretch but on the other, I think its important to give them time to gel. So with that in mind:

Lloris
Doherty Dier Toby Reguilon
GLC Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bale Kane Son

Hart, Sanchez, Rodon, Sissoko, Bergwijn, Lucas, Vinicius

I think Jose expects Bale to get picked loads in the International break where Wales have 3 games. I wonder if that tempts him to bring him on for 25 rather than start him and give him an hour or so.

I miss old Thinky. Whatever happened to him?

Here's my starting XI:

Whilst we haven't been pretty going forward with him Sissoko is bringing a he'll of a lot of balance to the team defensively.

He’s underrated on here. I’m not saying he’s a world beater, but I think he’s quite important to the way we play. Stops us being outmuscled in midfield for a start.
