They're physical enough and after today id probably go for Pierre instead of Gill, despite preferring Kulu central.

Expect it will be, and what Id go for:

Vicario

Porro
Romero
Davies
Udogie

Bissouma
PEH
Lo Celso

Kulu
Son
Johnson

Cant see Richaison being up to speed to start, bench here...maybe ready for Newcastle.

Don't change the 11

Vicario

Porro
Romero
Davies
Udogie

Bissouma
Lo Celso
Kulu

Johnson
Son
Gil

Gil was lost but he was going against walker, arguably the best RB still in the PL. Only until his booking were we getting joy

Hojberg is pointless with Romero back as Royal doesn't need that protection and West Ham aren't going to keep the ball like city

See where your coming from but West Ham are physical and he'll be up against Coufal?...

I haven’t been impressed with Gil. To be honest Hojberg has looked better than Bissouma lately.

Vicario

Porro Romero Davies Udogie
Hojberg Bissouma Lo Celso
Kulusevki Son Johnson

Surely the hope isn't really that Gil will out muscle, or leave a full back for dead in a straight line race, just that he somehow catches them flat footed with skill or intelligence... Is Coufal particularly unlikely to be vulnerable to what Bryan can throw at him in that regard?

Yep 💯 should be this.

Hope Sonny is ok, he seemed to be limping a bit 2nd half.

Fair points, tough call for Ange, PEH deserves a start tbh.

Spot on.

You want Johnson in 1 on 1s against Coufal as much as possible.

Johnson on the left hasn't been his man that often

problem is CM. hojberg will be better as an impact sub. also the lo Celso, Udogie and Gil link up play was smooth as fuck against Villa

This is Gil 4th start for us, he is still learning

Hope Sarr is back

then we can line up

Vicario
Porro Romero Davies Udogie
Sarr Bissouma GLC
Deki Son Johnson

will def need the subs to come on n do a shift this game tho

esp when we have short recovery time and Udogie is one card away from suspension.

With Romero back i would be tempted to put Dorrington alongside him.

I really don't want to see either Emerson or Davies at centre back for 1 more minute of this season.

I'd play richarlison right and take out gil. Keep it the same other wise. If Richy isn't 90 minute fit give him 60 or so and bring on Gil.

Vic
Porro Romero Dorrington Udogie
Biss
GLC Donley
Kulu Son Johnson

Now we have an experienced leader back at the back I would give the youngster a chance and also I am not sure we can go with Gil again as walker will have killed his confidence but I wouldn't want us to sacrifice being positive in midfield so give Donley a go.

Can try this in an FA Cup game but not a London Derby where 3 points is huge

PEH for Gil from the start is a massive call and IMO the wrong one.

I still feel it was right to start with Gil against City yesterday and Wet Spam don’t have Kyle Walker to keep him under check.

PEH has shown he can be valuable steadying a ship with us when he comes on, but his total lack of Ange's style of football ability sets us up the wrong way if he starts.

Not in a million years are we seeing this line up.

Id be happy enough with Gill starting, i like him.

But he could struggle against Coufal.
