Anyway Sandro's presence in the middle offsets the risk of playing Livermore at the back - to a degree.

That is a very decent team all things considered. If we didn't need Sandro so much in the middle I reckon he would do a better job than Livermore at CB. All of those are prem quality players and I think Carroll certainly will be in the next couple of years.

silly not having VDV in the squad, could have just played and given him a full 90 which he seems to want, regardless of whether he looks exhausted or not, 60 mins once a week isnt gonna get him fitter

plus this side need to be taken very seriously, russian league is strong now, not sure about livermoore in defence, think we'll get done tonight and be forced into a rethink at half time if the team is too experimental

I would have hoped that we could find somebody to play instead of Bassong, never mind Kaboul. If we lose him we are screwed. Surely chalky can hobble around for 60 mins. Crazy. On subject of CB I see that Caulker is about a week from fitness and will head back to Swansea.

Assume we can't recall him with it being a season loan (sure this has come up before)

Gomes wasn't in the XI

Can only think this has been changed at some point today and will be to put him in the shop window. Prob pressure from Daniel

Soz Steve, like I said. I got given/asked the starting XI, and it was what I posted. Subs spot on too. Gomes coming in for Carlo was changed at some point during the day. Shop Window? Gomes kicking off? Carlo not 100%? Who knows

Only other ITK I have had recently ( do not go out of my way to see source in off transfer period ) is our targets for January are Cahill and Dunk (want both) Not ground breaking but 100% true. And Huntelaar is a top target for the summer.
