Full backs are so important for this game. The last two three times we have played them there they have scored carbon copy goals through Saka and Martinelli. Stop their wide players and we are in with a shout. Looking forward to Udogie Vs Saka. And not so much Porro Vs Martinelli.
yeah, our right side is easily the biggest concern in this one. Martinelli is a really tricky player and Porro isn't exactly a great one on one defender imo

I understand the calls both for unchanged, and for getting Johnson included.

However, I would actually be looking to get Richarlison in for Solomon, and revert to the team we started with the first few matches.

I think we need to have someone who can seek to occupy Gabriel and Saliba, and we will need someone to hold the ball up from time to time. That said I'd be looking to give the license for Sonny and Kulusevski to try and get in behind in those full back areas.
Yeah this is the most likely option IMO. I just included Johnson and put Deki in as an 8 because it sounded really fun to watch.

But Richarlison for Solomon and Sonny out at left forward would work really nicely for this match IMO

I think Porro would relish the challenge. He is so competitive and I think he'll give a good showing of himself

Yep he's improving defensively every game, been quality this season. He took a battering in the first half against United then produced a fine display in the second half and has really kicked on since.

Could chance of him being up against Trossard rather than Martinelli hopefully...

Dammit, would be nice to have one game at the Emirates without an injury the week before.

Most optimistic I’ve felt about a NLD for years at their place. We will go and attack and have a go and we will have a chance.

Hopefully they pick up some more injuries tonight.

Vicario

Porro
Romero
VDV
Udogie

Bissouma
Sarr
Maddison

Kulu
Son
Solomon

.

Richy & Johnson on around 70 mins.

No need to change a winning team that is playing well however if we want to play it slightly safer we could go for Royal instead of Porro.

With Perisic out it should probably always be a striker on the bench from now on.
When Son and Richarlison has played we've not had one on the bench.

Are you going to magic a new striker up?

Seriously though, Veliz has only played a handful of minutes for the u21s and Ange says he's not yet ready, so I don't know who you want to be there.

Well he's already been in the squad as one of the two that sit in the stands, so should open up a spot when we're now one player down. But he'll need some work yes. Could also be Soonsup-Bell, I'm very supportive of promoting youth.

Yeh he was absolute quality yesterday in the U21 game. Definitely sharper than Veliz at the moment who looked like he needed a few more games to get his sharpness.

If Martinelli is fit, maybe Emerson on him. In saying that, Porro looks so up for it defensively now.

I’d actually like to see Soonsup Bell and Donley on the bench, they’d be so up for it, both would understand a NLD. Soonsup Bell is silky smooth and Donley is potential Maddison material.

Once we’re 3 up, bring on Phillips too. Pls show Lego head at this stage too pls.
