I really hate early kick offs, especially when they're big games at home - it takes away from the atmosphere and removes some of the home advantage. I'd be more confident of winning if it was a late kick off played under lights.

We're going to have to watch out for Francis 'the new Viera' Coquelin.

He's played a couple of games and apparently he's better than all our midfielders, according to some Arsenal fans I know.

I fucking hate Arsenal so much.

It has to be Rose at Left back, as if we play Davies, can see him being ripped apart by Walcotts pace.

Walker really scares me lately, his passing and decision making has been sloppy, and not sure if Chiriches would be a safer bet at right back.

Vertonghen is obviously a starter, but not sure whether to go with youth and pace in Dier or Fazio who is maybe slower, but more experienced and positionally aware.

If Bentaleb is ready, I would play him with Stambouli. If not, Mason and Stambouli in centre mid.

Kane obviously upfront with Eriksen, Lamela and Dembele behind.

It's a similar syndrome to how every time they steam-roller a couple of shit teams at the Emirates every August and Wilshere, Arteta and the rest of their no-mark losers start piping up about how they're title contenders again.

We will undoubtedly play 4231, and so I would swap Bentaleb out (just might not be right for this game so soon after the ACN) and put Dembele into that ACM role he's had last couple.

We played 9 games in January, but still have a fully fit squad.

Massive creds to Pochettino and his staff for this - No idea how they're doing it but it seems to be working..

Well, there is a theory, that may have some truth in it, that happy/contented players (and people in general) are less likely to get niggling injuries. Obviously, if you go back to his Southampton days, Jay Rodriguez wasn't not going to that nasty injury just because he was contented. Just helps reduce the niggling injuries, apparently.

I'd be so much more confident if this was the late KO rather than the lunchtime one. Really does make a difference at the Lane when the lights are on and the fans are a little merry. Against Chelsea it really inspired the players and intimidated the opposition. Sucks that we very rarely get late games against the Scum because of the police.

It's interesting that you say this, because the Goons have a very poor record from early Saturday kick-offs.

Walker makes errors yes, but i personally don't think its a coincidence that our results and performances have improved since Kyle returned. He is one of those players, imo, that are only fully appreciated when they are not playing.
As for replacing him with Chirches? really?..so one day he is off to Roma and the next he is thrown into the NLD.....why not play Ade and kaboul too , oh and as skipper....no thanks.

This is the first week the players have had no midweek game in 2015...no need for stupid changes .

Lloris
Walker Dier Vertonghen Rose
Bentaleb Mason
Lamela Dembele Eriksen
Kane

Think Dembele has made a tidy contribution in a more attacking role of late, interchanging well with Eriksen and Lamela.

I think Fazio to snuff out Girouds heading ability, and general positioning

Chadlis got a case to start too IMO

Wenger backtracking. He is such a dick

Wenger on Sanchez: "He feels he can defy the medical people because he is so keen to play. I don't know if he can. I will see today." #AFC

here's the guardian's scores for our likely starting lineup

Hugo Lloris It has reached the point where his jaw-dropping reflex saves are the norm. Routinely inspires gratitude from fans and team-mates. 9/10

Kyle Walker Back in a groove after nine months out, has shown he is his old self. Mauricio Pochettino’s style suits him. 7

Federico Fazio Has stabilised after a rocky start but still not entirely convincing. Making too many mistakes. 6

Jan Vertonghen Intense competitor, has shown a relish for the physical battle, even if he sometimes strays close to the edge. Commanding. 8

Danny Rose
Has improved defensively and in terms of concentration. Works hard up and down the flank. Ultra-committed in the tackle. 7

Nabil Bentaleb Just back from the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria, he intends to continue the driving form he showed before he left. 7

Ryan Mason Thinks about every pass and rarely loses possession, he has brought poise and tenacity in central areas. 7

Érik Lamela Can be infuriating because the raw talent is there. Prone to lapses but has shown flickers of his quicksilver threat. 6

Mousa Dembélé Fighting to make the No10 position his own. Always looking for the killer pass. Sometimes wants too many touches. 7

Christian Eriksen One of Tottenham’s outstanding performers, has decided tight games with the burgeoning force of his talent and technique. 9

Harry Kane Has rocketed from third-choice striker to talismanic leader of the line. Strong, deceptively quick and lethal, his direct style unnerves defenders. 9
think that's pretty reasonable. fazio a point too low though.
