Might as well go for it. This is our last chance (however slim) to salvage something from this season.

I hope that we don't start a squad full of youth. All of the travelling support should be given something to cheer about considering how much they are spending.

In 2010 Liverpool lost 2-1 to Benfica in the first leg and then smashed them 4-1 in the second leg. That Benfica team had David Luiz, Julio Cesar, Di Maria, Coentrao, Ramires, and Javi Garcia. Scoring three goals against this Benfica side isn't impossible.

Something along these lines, might as well go for it and two upfront is a must I reckon.

I wouldn't start Sandro or Adebayor on the basis they looked knackered yesterday.

I've left Dembele out altogether following the rumour that he's been banished to the stands for the rest of the season.

How depressing....this tie is over, as is top four.

I'd definitely have Ade on the bench as well...put in a huge effort yesterday and has played non stop for the last three months or so. Bring him on if we do manager to give ourselves a glimmer of hope.

I'd quite like to use this game as an experiment to see if we can play Adebayor, Eriksen and Soldado together in a front three.

It's clear from yesterday that we were better when driving through the middle, and our full backs should be able to give us attacking width when required, so I think we can afford to be a bit more narrow in midfield and attack. In addition, we clearly lacked a natural goalscorer yesterday and that's something that Soldado can provide.

Obviously it's a big risk because there's no guarantee that Adebayor can play as a wide forward, but I think he's got all the skills to play that role and still provide us with a useful out-ball.

So I'd go with something like:

I'd like to see what happens if we play Eriksen (central), Soldado and Ade together, and now we're well off the pace for top 4 and need a miracle in this tie, I see absolutely no reason why we shouldn't try it.
