What I am going to say is nothing to do with this thread but I felt the need to let people know . I am watching Newcastle v Wolves and there was an incident that was almost identical to the penalty Newcastle were given against us that being the Dier handball .
It went to VAR and was correctly not given but you can't help thinking " how comes that same type of incident ended with a penalty being awarded for Newcastle when they played us " may be its common sense being applied but my paranoia tells me if it was us it would have been given as a penalty . Does this opinion make me a saddo or should I just let things go ?
Not at all. We are Spurs after all.

It's not just that there was a broken promise by Jose. (then apparently some anger by Joe that Jose didn't like). (Then the famous loyalty to other players quote).

There was also this issue when we signed him that the Club warned him about the difference of playing for a bigger club and the professionalism side of it which is fine, but Joe has worked harder than anybody this season to try and get game time.

Imagine how you would feel if you were watching those in front of you make mistake after mistake? Then you make one and you are called out for it in video analysis etc. Then the next game comes along and you watch the senior centre backs make mistake after mistake but the manager again blames the younger players.

His friends aren't the problem as Joe hasn't seen them or others for some time, yes the boy does like to party and go out but he never does it during the season. Yes, a few of his friends are edda's (nuts) as we say in Wales, but please leave that notion drop it's not the company he keeps. If you want to slaughter someone for enjoying himself with his friends and family then so be it.

Check out his brothers twitter just to see how close they are and how they support each other and how vocal his bro is of his support for us. (if you think its wrong that he is still friends with people he grew up with because he is a down to earth guy then so be it).

But you can't pick your family and most of the time you do not pick your friends.

For what it's worth the treatment of Rodon by Jose and his team so far has been diabolical, he came in he trained harder than anyone took everything on board Jose has told him been praised by fellow teammates to then be promised things that never materialize.

I would be fucked off too, eventually doesn't matter how hard you are trying eventually you will lose your emotions.

Hopefully, he gets a chance tomorrow to be involved as we will need him as he is the only centre half at the club that is capable of not being bullied by Burnley.

If not Joe should look at going to Brighton (there was interest there previously) or someone similar for a loan to think he chose us over West Ham bless him.

Then hopefully he outlasts the current regime and we reap the benefits in a year or so to come.

It doesn't point well to the man management techniques that many question aren't suited to a modern day dressing room.

Hope it sorts itself.

I am pretty sure that during an international break incidents like ours Vs Newcastle were discussed at a referees coven and it was decided to be more sensible about hand balls

I could have imagined that however.

They changed the handball rule in the week or so after the Dier incident - Based predominantly on the ridiculousness on some of the decisions mostly the one against Dier. The change of rule came too late for us, but I guess it was for the best. We got stiffed by that shit handball rule so many time - including in the biggest game in our history - The Champions League final - On the very day that they introduced that handball rule change to make it so any handball, no matter the context or intent, would be given as a penalty. So I'm not sad the rule was changed but changing a rule midseason is pretty shitty.

A lot of people are putting Dele in their teams because of two good performances against Wolfberger, who in my opinion are no way near the standard of even our bottom PL clubs. In other words he had it easy. As a Spurs player, love him to bits but do they honestly believe he has done enough to say replace Lamela who has at least been showing up against the big games in the league?

Lamela has worked really hard and tried a lot but he hasn’t impacted the game with enough quality to warrant an auto start to me. We’ve been struggling in attack because when Kane drops deep we only ever have son going past him and it’s becoming predictable. It’s worth trying Dele in there especially against a team we need to beat as he’s shown he can work with Kane and can ghost into the box and past Kane.

Dele has been far more of a goal threat than Lamela throughout his career and we just need more people that can score

Dele is goal threat when he "ghosts by" as you put it, but in my opinion you still need someone there with the industry of Lamela to break up their play through constant pressing and provide service to Kane and Son, which is integral to how Jose sets us to play and which Dele is not as good at doing. Horses for courses but I know who I prefer

It's got to the point now where I dont see Sanchez having any strengths bar his pace.

Technically awful, somehow at 6ft 2 he cant head a ball, positioning is shocking. Really struggle these days to see what he is bringing to the table.

Dr Yidboy123 will see you now....
