Bent has looked a different player since the CC final. His holding up of the ball, ability to win headers, energy, off the ball running and first touch is superior to anything Pav has done recently. He proved that again today, he just needs to develop more of understanding with his strike partner which will come.

The rest picks itself, we have only lost once at home this season under Redknapp, beating liverpool and holding united. I have no doubt we will get something from this game if we play with the same energy, enthusiasm and skill we know we are capable of.

Yeah, what a team. A player who never runs, has score a pitiful 4 goals and 1 assist after having more league starts than Bent who has scored 10 and has 2 assists.

I'm not sure you've been watching very closely recently. Pav has been anything but a threat in the air and in his two most recent performances (United at Wembley and Boro) he was poor and was rightly subbed. Against Boro I think he won 1 header all game. Bent came on and won 5. I'm not against Pav per se (think he must be knackered and his best is yet to come hopefully) but on current form Bent should certainly start.
