everyone knows there are not enough days for Ledders to recover,... but if he does, then it's he and kaboul at the back. pienaar out on the right hurts less than forcing sandro inside to make modric play wide, that's why sandro starts on the bench.

bale will be fit

John Terry has to be one of the most over-rated players of the past decade. The past 18 months has seen a massive decline for him too. Coinciding with the sale of Carvalho, who maybe made Terry look half-decent for a few Championship winning seasons.

He was shocking against Wigan last weekend. Should have cost Chavski a goal, but they got lucky. If he makes mistakes like that against us we have to punish them.

Oh and David Luiz is a liability of a centre half too. Let's hope he plays alongside Terry.

he's another candidate for 8 games and 40k...

I honestly think we should go with the following with Lennon out

.................friedel

...........Kaboul king gallas

...............Sandro Parker

Walker...............................Bale

...................Modric VDV

......................Adebayor

Ok it's a risk as we have only played 3 at the back for 45 mins this season. But reckon it looks good and has a nice balance to it. Should also free up Luka and VDV to do what they do best. But what do I know??!

I would be.

Question marks over everything. Doesn't seem to be the player touted as a 'bargain' last year. I don't remember seeing him at Everton but kind of suggests that don't need to do much to stand out over there these days.

Hope he proves us wrong but I think it's no co-incidence that he's only just scraping onto the bench at a time when we have 2 of our best midfielders out

He's hasn't had a real run in this side yet, I really don't understand the impatience over him...he needs a run of games to get to the standard he was with Everton...which was pretty good.

I know he, and Niko, havn't had a lot of football recently but if they can't get into the side when Bale and Lennon are both out what's the point in having them? Should sell them both if we don't intend to play them even when we have players out injured.

Friedel

Walker Kaboom King BAE

Modric Sandro Parker Bale/Kranjcar*/Pienaar

VDV

Adebayor

*Switch sides with Modric

Don't like Modric on the right and I don't like the lack of pace in outside the back four, but needs must. Don't think Walker is a good idea on the right and its too big a game to risk him there.

Assuming Bale's injured then it's tricky, but I would either go:

Friedel
Walker Gallas Kaboul BAE
Parker Sandro
VdV Modric Pienaar
Ade

Or:

Friedel
Kaboul Gallas Bassong
Walker Parker Modric BAE
VdV
Ade Defoe

If he's fit then it's obviously much, much easier:

Friedel
Walker Gallas Kaboul BAE
Parker Sandro
VdV Modric Bale
Ade

Do people really see Walker at RM?? I don't see him as anything other than a right back or centre back at a push. Can't see him on the wing myself.

Right Wing Back (RWB) is a suitable position for him IMO, same applies for BAE at LWB. Those two players can provide the width to our play, especially if Bale/Lennon are out.

I would bet anyone on here money that King will play on thursday

Same.

We will then pack him off for Christmas and New year.

I can't see King missing this one. We've not heard anything about him flaring up after the Sunderland game.

This. Whilst it is clear he isn't anywhere near as good as the media make him out to be, he somehow still managed to be stellar against us last year. He'd still be their best bet to deal with Adebayor I'd guess.

I'd back Ade againt Terry any day of the week IOMLS, how well Terry fares will depend on Webb.

I can see Ade hitting the deck a few times because of Terry, if Webb lets these go then Terry will flourish as his game is all about physical intimidation.

Webb was on his game in the Utd/QPR game, I thought. If he turns out a similar performance for us then I can see Ade creating merry Hell for Terry.
