Well so what to do here. Lots of players looked a bit knackered yesterday still its basically the most importan competition we are in.
So I think we should rotate a little bit but mainly use early subs of key players if we sealed the deal.

Hojbjerg is suspended, Son is injured and we do not know shit about Gio. So as much as I hate the Winks/ Sissoko combo it should be good enough here and I would give Tanguy a second half if needed. I'd start Lamela as he has a full rest the coming Sunday.

----------------------------Lloris---------------------------
Aurier---------Sanchez-----------Dier----------Davies---
-----------------Sissoko----------Winks-------------------
---Bale-------------------Dele-------------------Lamela---
---------------------------Kane-----------------------------

Subs:
Hart, Whiteman, Doherty, Reguilon, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Ndombele, Lucas, Bergwijn, Vinicius, Scarlett

If Son is injured and Lamela red carded we are going to need Bergwijn to some degree in the coming weeks so we should start him on Thursday. He needs game time. Lamela should start also.

—————Lloris
Aurier—Sanchez—Dier—Davies
————Winks—Sissoko
Lamela——Dele——-Bale
—————Vinicius

Harry & Tanguy on the bench in case needed. And we need to press, press, press from the start - one goal for us means they need four.

Lloris

Aurier Sanchez Dier Davies

Sissoko Ndombele

Lamela Lucas Bergwijn

Kane

Take Lucas, Kane and Ndombele off as soon as we have the luxury to, put Bale on if we feel we have to.

Lloris

Aurier Sanchez Dier Davies

Sissoko Ndombele

Lamela Alli Bergwijn

Vinicius

Subs
Hart Tanganga Reguillon Winks Devine Moura Bale Kane Scarlett Cirkin Lo Celso

I would take Ndombele off at 60 mins. Kane was clearly not 100% so keep him on the bench. Lamela suspended for Sunday so start him and Alli with a fully rested Bergwijn.

This cup should be our biggest priority and we should field our strongest side. Its a great chance of a trophy and I want to see us win something. I give zero fu**s about 5th place or any position that doesn't win something.

I agree with you about this being our biggest priority, but Son's injury is clear evidence of what's to come if we don't rotate players properly. No way should kane and Ndombele be starting this, considering how knackered both looked against Arsenal.

Son pulled up yesterday and if we don't start rotating the squad more, it's only a matter of time before Kane and Hojberg are the next casualties from fatigue. The way the latter has been playing recently, a long rest may not be a bad thing.

As there isn't a match thread yet, thought I'd put this here but please feel free to move it to a more relevant place mods.

Zagreb's manager has been sentenced to 4 and a half years in jail before our game on Thursday.

Agree with most of that, but probably still have Kane on the bench just in case we need to break the glass.

He's actually resigned now

Hmm.

A club that appears to be in crisis, have no manager, and are facing a Tottenham team that has a 2 goal lead from the first leg & will be heavy favourites to win the tie.

Why would he pick Aurier or Tanganga when he has Doherty ? this is said with as much sarcasm as I can muster .
