In regards to the coming fixture build up you cant play the CB's for all of them, it would be insane even if you just keep Wimmer there.

IMO you have to either play CCV at CB in the one of the cup matches or move Davies to CB and move Bentaleb or someone to LB. Of course Dier can cover for Toby

Winning is a habit, and I wouldn't want to do anything to upset the attitude and approach this group has going on by phoning in a performance because it 'only the Europa league'. That sort of approach is amateur hour, the sort of thing we would do under Redknapp. Obviously a few changes, but I fully expect a strong side in every game we have left this season

I'm glad that we have a couple of Europa ties and an FA Cup match before our next Premier League match. The game against City was obviously extremely emotional and it's natural to experience a drop after a game like that. These three games gives us an opportunity to shift our focus elsewhere and not dwell on the success of the last 24 hours.

Anyway, I'd play a strong team in the away tie and then a rotated squad in the FA Cup and the home tie. IMO this gives us a good opportunity to progress in both competitions while also giving the key players a good rest before the next league game.

Lloris
Trippier - Alderweireld - Wimmer - Davies
Dier - Mason
Lamela - Carroll - Eriksen
Kane

I'd prefer if Lloris was rested - he looked groggy after taking that whack at the end of City game and for a chap that's had a concussion injury before, he should rest up.

Lloris Walker Rose Dembele Alli Eriksen Kane
Fullbacks get rotated anyway, centre backs need to continue forging an understanding. Mason, Bentaleb and Carroll in for Dier, Dembele and Eriksen as they play every match. The former two were our first choice cm last season anyway. Alli and Kane could also do with a break so in come Chadli and Lamela, while Son hasn't played as much anyway and should be fresh.

Its away from home so I think Walker and Davies will start this one with Trippier and Rose starting against Palace.

Would love to see Dier get a break for this one but he I suspect he'll start and might get a rest against Palace. I fully expect Kane, Alli and Dembele to start against Palace and to be on the bench for this one.

Lloris

Walker
Toby
Wimmer
Davies

Dier
Carroll

Lamela
Mason
Son

Chadli

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Alli, Kane

Would leave Dembele at home - he's just so crucial for us.

If someone is going to get a proper rest (physical & mental) then they should not travel to Florence at all.

We really ought to rest Dier and Kane (and probably will need to rest Dembele) twice over the next three games.

Everyone else in the main team ought to be rested once rotationally (FBs and GK can be rotated as per normal).

CCV, Mason, Bentaleb, Onomah to get plenty of game time if that helps allow that to happen.

Within those parameters, play strongest team to keep positive momentum.

Been looking forward to this, time for some revenge. Should've buried them last year in Italy really.

Poch will definitely pick a strong team. Probably be

Lloris
Davis
Wimmer
Dier
Trip
Bentelab
Caroll
Lamela
Mason
Chadli
Son... Though I wouldn't be surprised if it's Kane

People still want us to win this Europa tie?

It has to be a joke. We are ten games or so away from winning the league. Just drop the Europa.

You absolute helmet!!

Personally I think trying to go full pelt for 6 games in 17 days at this stage of the season would be amateur hour.

I don't think anyone is saying that we shouldn't try in every game, but I think we HAVE to rotate a lot, particularly in the 3 cup games, otherwise we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

Personally I'd go with a relatively strong team in Florence (depending on fitness post-City) and then give as many players a rest as possible against Palace. Obviously the team we play in the second leg against Fiorentina will be dependent on the result from the first leg, but after yesterday's result, we have to keep the momentum going against Swansea.

Basically the Swansea, West Ham and Arsenal games are all more important than the 3 cup games. We need to rotate accordingly.

Agree.

In any case we have the squad to make the changes - and that gives us a better chance in all these games anyway.

If we don't rotate we can't go full pelt. Making changes isn't weakening the side that some seem to interpret it as. To the contrary its necessary to give ourselves the best possible chance in all the games we've got coming up - because they come in quick succession of one another.

We should plan ahead with the League as the clear priority but aiming to win all these games by using the squad shrewdly.

We all saw the scenes at the end of the game yesterday, even Vorm was being congratulated by Poch - so important that because its bonding the squad together and making them all feel important.

That in turn ensures they're all committed when picked to play, its fantastic management and it means Poch can trust them all - its why he had to get rid of the bad apples, so he could cultivate a mentality permeating its way right through out the squad.

Aitch is that you?

It's this kind of Redknapp amateur hour mentality that will mean we end up with nothing at the end of the season. Poch trusts all his smaller tighter squad, he'll rotate according to the fitness monitoring reports.

But there are no games sacked off now - we want to win everything - that's how "big" teams operate.
