I would have Stambouli in the list of players that shouldn't play on Sat and Dembele in the line up v Foxes.

I think Stambouli needs a rest - he was playing his third game in 8 days and it showed second half. He's in his first period of being a regular starter for us and we can't risk him burning out with Bentaleb still away.

Think i'd go Mason- Capoue in the middle for this one if possible (where was Capoue this evening, by the way?).

Who do you think Pochettino will play in goal?
At the moment its looked like Lloris PL and Europe, and Viorm domestic cups... will Lloris have some time off?
This is an interesting question. MoPo has played Vorm in all the League Cup games but Lloris was in the away Burnley FA Cup game but not the replay.

I agree with Stambouli needing a rest but would say the same with Mason considering he is coming back from injury. 2 of Capoue, Dembele or Paulinho for me.

I would rest Eriksen or may be play him from bench.
Assuming Chadli is out & Lamela is back given he is training now...

My XI

Lloris
Yedlin, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose
Dembele, Mason,
Lamela, Kane, Townsend,
Adebayor

Well, yes Adebayor. If we are not going to sell him, I would rather play him more games & get him match fit.

If he can start scoring, with Kane alongside, we would be unstoppable.
Of course, few will disagree with me starting Adebayor. But then, its my XI.

Everyone seems keen on resting players, dont forget Liecester drew with scousers.

Nothing is a given atm.

We have a semi final on Wednesday where we must at least draw to go to Wembley then a league game on Saturday. Play a 2nd team and youth. Give them games and you rest the guys we need. We have a bunch of fixtures ahead of us in a relatively short amount of time and we also just played a bunch of fixtures is a short amount of time. We need to keep our first team fully fit and be careful not to overwork them. Plus, Leicester are probably going to use a weaker side also. I'd like to win this match, but I'd rather not use first teamers like Verts, Eriksen, Kane, Lloris, Walker.

Vorm
Yedlin - Fats - Vlad - Rose
Capoue - Paulinho
Lamela - Soldado - Onomah
Ade
I love the FA and I'm delighted we've finally made it past the 3rd round for fuckin once, but Eriksen and Kane must be rested. They haven't been rested in weeks, going back to Sheffield will be tough, and they'll undoubtedly feature again on the weekend against a Pulis-led West Brom side which will be like a fortress.

As is, I think we could use the youthful energy and excitement of Onomah and Yedlin. We are beyond desperately thin at AM at this point, and since we didn't bring back Pritch as I hoped we would I think it's a good opportunity to bleed a couple youth a little more. Honestly don't even view this lineup as a weaker one, as there's more experience and age in there than our usual lineups and I believe possibly more energy. I also think Soldado could deputize well enough at the No 10 for the time being, as he's a decent playmaker but not a great striker. That much experience could help Onomah settle, and he in return could repay them with energy and movement. Lamela also has stunning defensive stats for a winger, and I think would be a valuable wing partner for Yedlin. Also intentionally would station Capoue on the right in midfield to help shield for Yedlin a bit more.

I think this squad is perfectly capable of nicking a win while giving some of our crucial players a rest that is beyond needed at this point.

I'm hoping Lloris plays

Mainly because I'm taking my 8 year old to his first game and he's his favourite player.

Best team we can field. It's the FA Cup, lets try our best to get through.

Think about the second leg after the Leicester game.

Leicester gave us a bit of a battering in the second half away recently and went on a good run after, including a draw at Anfield.

They are hard to score against so it must be 4-4-2 again. I think Harry needs a rest so Ade, Sol and Andros for me. Eriksen hasn't had 2 bad games in a row so I can see him being a match winner. I would keep Mason in reserve because we absolutely need him for Sheff U away.

Vorm
Walker Fazio Verts Rose
Stambouli
Townsend Paulinho Eriksen
Soldado Ade

I think the game last night shows that you can't just keep playing your supposed best players and expect that to yield the best performance. Freshen it up.

I agree with yankspurs for the first time ever, I'd play Dembele and Paulinho in midfield, the latter has improved slightly in recent cameos.

Lloris

Chiriches Dier Kaboul Rose

Dembele Paulinho
Lennon __________ Townsend

Soldado Adebayor

If we get a replay would it be played right before the North London Derby? Draw would be the worst possible result in that case for me.

Assuming Lamela is fit I'd like to see him play in the number 10 role and if Lennon isn't played in this game then he will never play.

Draw would be good. Want us to break the record for most games played in a season
