Playing him behind either Soldado or Ade is foolish, it blunts can and there is no way in hell he should be pushed out of his best position for players who on current form are not fit to lace his boots

Soldado and Ade - either/or should get the chance to replace kane as and when he is in need of a rest and then it is on them to take their chances like kane had to when he was third choice

@prawnsandwich I see you disagree with me, so you would say the FA Cup which still contains the top 8 of league of which we'd more than likely have to play more than one of to reach the final over a Semi-Final which we are in prime position to win (almost certainly if we can field our strongest team with zero injuries) ? I have read your post a couple of times and I am not 100% sure what point you are trying to make.

We got to rest Eriksen IMO. He has been the work horse & creative brain behind our decent season Till now. Against Sheffield he definitely looked tired.

Good time to play Lamela & rest Eriksen.

Also Vertonghen deserves a rest. I think he hasn't got a minute rest for a long long time.

There is no way we should be playing Kane or Eriksen. They bothered looked knackered against Sheffield, playing a fatigued is much worse then swapping him for say paulinho.

With so many games to play in the coming month, it's time for others to step up. Eriksen and Kane cannot play every game and even if they do, there performances will taper, so others need to come in.

We struggle in these games when we have people playing who have nothing to prove. It only takes 1 or 2 with that mentality and it can seep through the team. We start sloppy, concede within 10 mins and lose and put in a drab performance. We need players out there who on paper may not seem like the best player, but who want to prove there worth, that's why I've got Mason and Winks in CM. Look at the difference Kane, Mason and Nabil made to our side. A little bit of effort and commitment goes a long way and seems to have spread through the team with someone like Vertonghen back to his best.

I'd like to see Winks given a game, the easy choice would be Capoue or Paulinho, but they have been given so many opportunities and lack the intensity and drive we need. Winks would be chomping at the bit to prove himself and the boy can play.

Still to early for Yedlin I would imagine, so doubt he will play much this season at all. Also with Mason back from injury, he needs another run out so he should play and also get Lamela straight back in now he is fit to get some minutes. Would possible like to see Lamela in number 10 position and take out Dembele for Oduwa who again would bring some enthusiasm to the team but that would be a bit too adventurous.

The main gripe was the Soldado/Adebayor selection. Soldado has some nice touches and links play well but he actually never looks like he will score. I have lost patience with Adebayor. If he could be bothered for this last half a season he could make such a difference for us, but I just don't think he can be bothered, and if that's the case it'sa completely counter productive putting him in.
