Cannot believe that some are naming Bentaleb and Lamela either starting or on the bench.
I think Lamela gets a chance here to get his season untracked, and maybe even prove that he should not be sold before the end of the window.

I think he is a better player when starting, than trying to come in as a difference-maker as a sub.

We'll see. Its all onions at this point.

Going to be difficult to contain the pace of Mahrez and how leicester are currently playing. . Going to be a difficult game, but we seem to do ok away from home, so i'm optimistic.

I'd go for

Lloris
Walker Toby Jan Rose
Dier Mason
Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli
Kane

Walker i think as been good so far this season, infact our back four in general. Even scope for davies to play ahead of rose, although rose adds a much needed attacking threat.

Dier's patner is going to be interesting. How do you approach the match? Slow it down, Try and control it (possession, Alli, nabil or bentaleb) and nullify leicester or have some bite in there and some impetus which Mason brings which we might need for a tough fixture.

And lamela ( don't shoot me). Starting, should be up to speed in the match, and offers good pressing and can create.

This is such a massive game early in the season for us. More dropped points at Leicester, with a tough game against Everton the following week, will have an air of negativity around the club that could cascade into major problems. We follow that up with an away trip to Sunderland, who will be desperate for something, and then we're home to a tough Palace side. It's also important because our 7th, 8th, and 9th games are against a rampant Manchester City, Swansea away, and Liverpool at home. If we go into that City match with anything less than 8 points (meaning draws against Leicester/Everton, win against Sunderland, draw against Palace), we're going to be under enormous pressure, especially with Europa starting around that same time.

I'm not worried we will spank this lot.

That's fine- assuming that they're into that sort of stuff. However, unless one of our stronger players (like, say, Kevin Wimmer) paddles Jamie Vardy with such force that that the striker's buttocks become injured (thereby rendering him too hurt to play), I can't see it helping us much on the pitch.

We will see on Saturday then

Bollocks to the Europa unless we've picked up a good few points by the time we play man city.
Hopefully we'll get some decisive signings in before then that'll make all the difference.
If we don't though, and don't get your 8 points, you could definitely see the Liverpool game as the one where the natives start to get restless.
Predicting like this is so hard though. Good result next week and the atmosphere totally changes.

Don't see how anyone can drop Dier. He scored a goal and freed up Mason to put in a MOM performance v Stoke.

Whatever he does will seem like the wrong choice, because we won't get a result there right now. I just hope the law of averages has us winning for the first time this season.

Wish our players had as much fight and passion.

As for team selection, I would go for something a bit different.

------------------------------Lloris------------------------------
Trippier----------Toby------------Vert----------Rose----
----------------------Dier---------Eriksen--------------------
----------Alli-----------------------------------Chadli---------
---------------------------Mason-------------------------------
---------------------------Kane---------------------------------

Trippier can push up, Alli tuck in and Eriksen move forward.
Reverse on the opposite wing. Maintain a tight unit to avoid counters but still have 3 on attack so Kane isn't isolated.

You could mix this up by having Mason drop deeper and Chadli running the diagonal across to get into the box.

A persistently changing formation without much instruction, and less long sprinting back to our own box because we've been caught out pushed too far up with two isolated in the middle.

This exactly @Japhet ..

Okay Dier was average at Man Utd, but nobody was great in that game, and against Stoke he got a goal and it seems was the perfect partner to allow Mason to go and play his full game and we saw how good he was! MOM.

How the hell people are dropping Dier or Mason, and still keeping a forward midfield three of Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela is just unbelievable. If we start with the midfield three of Dembs/Lamela, Eriksen and Chadli again, we can expect the same gutless performance once it gets tough.. and against this Leicester side, it will be tough.

Get Alli on, give Pritchard some minutes starting or as a sub, and let's see some players playing without fear - it's what we need.

And hell, I'd start N'jie if his permit is done by then.

When is Pritchard back? Straight on the bench when he is declared fit with a view to getting involved asap.

No way he'll do it, and not even sure he should, but:

Lloris
Tripper Toby Vertonghen Rose
Mason Delle Ali
N'Zie Eriksen Pritchard
Kane

I'd be tempted to play Alli. He showed in pre-season he's ready, was even one of the best if not the best. Dier doesn't deserve to be dropped, neither does Mason.

So...

Eriksen seemed quite invisible against Stoke, so Dier as a DM and Mason interchanging with Alli at CAM/CM could work I think.

No idea who to play at RW though. Don't think Lamela deserves a starting position, but it can be our only option as playing Dembele there won't do any good either and I don't believe Clinton will be ready. Even if he will, Poch won't put him straight in the starting lineup.

Trippier over Walker and Rose over Davies would be nice too.

I would play Alli RW seeing as it's more of a RAM role anyway. He won't be as useless as Lamela. At worst he will keep the ball.
