--------------Lloris----------------
----Romero--Dier---Davies---------
Moura -Bentancur-PEH--Reguilon-
------Kulusevski----------Son--------
-------------Kane-----------------

Is it my imagination or was Moura decent defensively under Mourinho, always tracking back as needed and good energy going forward

Bergwyn first sub at 60 mins to tweak any weak links up front/wing backs

I don’t think Moura is the solution at RWB. When Conte brought him on against Brentford he played him as the right-side 10 with Kulusevski dropping to wing back. Lucas’ first touch is not much better than Emerson’s and he’s even less disciplined defensively. Unless he’s given plenty of space to run into he’ll likely struggle being pinned up against the touch line. I think we’re more likely to see Kulusevski at RWB if Emerson is dropped.

Every game is a must win now so this isn't the time to see if Kulu, Bergwijn or Moura can do a job there for the rest of the season. Mane or Diaz will destroy them at Anfield. Maybe the answer is to put Sanchez in the middle of the back three and play Dier at right back as he has played their before in the Premier League.

So its not time to try something new, but Eric Dier should move to right wing back.

Not only that but RWB is very different to RB as we've seen with Doherty. I'd rather see a forward player do that job than a CB. Defending isn't the most important part of that role, creating forward width and attacking support is the primary goal for a WB in Conte's system.

I expect it to be Emerson though unfortunately.

If (as expected) Conte is going to stick with the WB system I wouldn't mind seeing Sessignon given a chance at RWB, he has the physical attributes to get up and down and being able to cut in may help him creatively, could also dovetail well with Kulu as lets face it, Emerson rarely gets outside Kulu and the prospect of Moura and Bergwijn there just scares me to death.
I know having two lefties down the right isn't ideal but we don't have many viable options (especially when you see some people are calling for Sanchez, Romero, Dier or even Rodon to play there...)
If Skipp was back i wouldn't be adverse to PEH having a go there, as he does do some good work in that right channel.

Bergwijn more or less played as an auxiliary right back under Mourinho and did more than Emerson has in the position. If we're persisting with wing backs I think he should feature there.

Leicester played a 4141 against Villa last weekend. I doubt Conte will change his wingback, but maybe someone with a better idea of tactics than me could let us know the advantages or dangers of playing an attacker at wing back rather than a more defensive player like Emerson?

one would imagine his positional awareness defensively would be all over the place. I'd also think he would be a weak link defensively on set pieces, he isn't going to great at tracking runs off the ball either.

its one thing backing up the full back in a defensive side, but to make him or lucas the actual full back in a back 5 sounds like a son heung min type recipe for disaster

Would not be surprised to see Sessignon on one side and Reguilon on the other. I would give Moura a go at RWB personally.

I just don't think Moura has the stamina for the role.
Could see him getting caught up the pitch and jogging back lots...
He takes quite a while to recover from sprints during games, which is not ideal for a WB

I really want Stevie B to get given some opportunities, I'm also sticking with Sessegnon because in his previous run he took a few games to get up to speed and once he found his feet he was producing good stuff. I trust him more than Reguilon if they suddenly had a 1v1 to do the job, Reguilon whenever he has a big chance I can see the gears grinding to a halt as he gets in his own way.

I dislike Rodgers intensely, mostly because of his face, which I know is unfair and irrational (my feelings, not his face) but I have no doubt that as a coach he’ll have looked at our performances, and will choose a formation and team that he thinks will be best suited to beat us on the day. Seems obvious, doesn’t it? But I’m much less confident that our world class manager will be doing anything similar. That’s sad, isn’t it? Or fucking criminal, perhaps?
Well Conte has a massive analytics team looking at the opposition so you’d think he would use that info to prepare our team. Hopefully on Leicester’s defensive weaknesses as well as their threats.

This has got to be the most redundant thread on this site. We all know what the team will be.

Come on you Spurs!!!!
