Counter counter counter! I'm hoping with Huddlestone's passing range we will be able to score some goals on the counter with Defoe, Bale and Lennon surging forward. I wouldn't play 4-4-2, it would leave us too exposed to City's attack. Dempsey I was hesitant over, but he scored v United.

This. Defoe's finishing was very good tonight, but Adebayor contributed so much to the team. If we had to pick one then I'd go for Adebayor. Tough on Defoe, but Ade will cause them more problems, and has the added incentive of it being Shitty. Oh how I'd love to see him running all the way to slide on his knees in front of the away supporters again.

Tonight provided an argument to play them both, but that will largely depend on whether Sandro is fit or not. If he isn't, then we don't have a potential central pairing strong enough. I like the idea of playing Carroll, though. He was impressive tonight, so I'd hope to see him at least on the bench.
