Lamela & Mason are both lacking match fitness so it will be interesting to see if Dembele plays further forward or replaces Dier further back.

I am not lamela's biggest fan, but I support him to do much better this season <hopefully> and since competing in the Copa America I would expect he would be closer to match fit than most players...

Looks good IF Lloris recovers in time and I think Walker keeps his spot until injury (or poor performance) opens the door for Trippier IMHO. I would feel a helluva lot better seeing Lloris in there to be sure!!

United looked so good today against Barca. Depay is already linking well with Rooney. We couldn't have had a tougher game first up. But then, there is no good time to play at OldTrafford.

I hope we aren't rusty going into that game - with most of our lad playing just 2 pre-season game(atmost 3) prior to that

They looked significantly poorer against PSG, who packed the midfield and outnumbered then and pressed the vulnerable united defence into errors. That's a useful blueprint for how id approach this one.

Although I prefer to see Dembele played higher up the pitch he needs to sit in with Bentaleb for this game so that we have someone who can keep hold of the ball in the middle. The rest of the team picks itself really.

we are in major trouble if we don't sign another CM soon or some wide forward cover...team got 5th last year but everybody else has improved and we have improved our defensive depth only. Glaring problems in attack and lack of creativity/pace of play that have gone unaddressed so far

I feel the same. Especially with all the positive itk we had on how we have changed the way we look at the transfer window etc.
