This might be an interesting line up to consider

Lloris
Tanganga Alderweireld Dier Davies Reguillon
Sissoko Hojbjerg
Ndombele
Kane---Son
Mourinho could go 5 at the back in this game, I dont expect it but this formation could easily slide into a 4-4-2 as well, I actually believe he might play Reguillon as a left midfielder for this match. Mourinho loves power in the big matches and this team is full of power, pace and strength.
I think we need to get Son through the middle to be as devastating as possible on the counter because Man City will have all the ball. Tanganga and Reguillon to try to use their physicality to dominate the wings. Kane and Ndombele to play as two number 10's to hold it up and release Sonny in behind wherever possible. Its going to be a game of looking at being fast and quick as possible in transitions and Tanganga, Reguillon, Sissoko and Son all have long distance lung power to get up and down the pitch quickly and consistently.

Lots of running required in this game, will both Lo Celso and Ndombele be fit enough?

Lloris
Dier Alderweireld Davies
Aurier --------------------- Reguilon
Hojbjerg
Winks ------- Ndombele
Son ----- Kane
Hart, Tanganga, Rodon, Lo Celso, Bale, Lucas, Vinicius

A fit sissoko plays. Limited in certain abilities we all know but he is key in our midfield in games like this. His energy to close down the opposition is required.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Sissoko started. Aurier will probably be targetted and Bale won't offer anything defensively down that side like Lamela would.

Mark my words, if we start Sissoko they will go up 1-0 first and that makes the game so much more difficult. We’ve been pressed off the pitch and second best to West Brom, Brighton, and even Burnley ffs. Do you really think our defense can keep out De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus, etc. when they’re going to have 65% possession?

I don’t think it's a foregone conclusion that we’re just going to sit back and try to soak pressure. Our team has a very different make up from the last time we played City.
City usually control a game regardless of your intention. It's very hard to impose your game on them. I can't see Mourinho looking to take the game to them unless we go a couple of goals behind. He will want to keep it as tight as possible and hope we can nick one from a set piece or a clinical counter.

Shame Lamela isn’t fit, I’d have him in for Bale personally. Don’t be shocked if Bale is on the bench and Moura starts, with Sterling on that side we need someone who will track back and Bales fitness won’t allow for that yet - we can’t afford to carry him if he’s not having a great game.

Kane Son
Reguilon PEH Ndombele Sissoko Aurier
Alderweireld Dier Sanchez
Hugo

Kane
Son Ndombele Lucas

Reguilon Toby Dier Aurier

Think it will be one of those two. Wouldn't mind Rodon starting over Sanchez either in the first one, wouldn't be amazed if Bale started for Lucas in the second one.

Seems like a clean sweep for Reguilon at left back but is nobody concerned at his penchant for committing himself to a tackle when he should stay on his feet, that would be exploited by this lot. Would a more experienced Davies not be the sensible option?

Can't see Bale starting vs. City as we will park the bus for most of the game, and we need players who do defensive work, so Lamela will probably start..

is he fit to play yet? Last time I saw Lamela, he was pictured with a medical boot around his foot
