What I'd like to see from the start

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Lenglet
Doc PEH Bentancur Perisic
Kulu Kane Richy

What I think it'll be

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Davies
Royal PEH Bentancur Sess
Kulu Kane Son

Would like to see Sonny come off the bench, think Sess starts due to the quicker turn around between this and West Ham and we want Perisic for that I reckon. Hope Romero is back for that.

Lloris

Sanchez (assuming Romero not fit)
Dier
Davies

Doherty
Bentancur
Hojbjerg
Perisic

Kulusevski
Kane
Richarlison

I’d keep the back 3 settled until Romero is able to return. Bissouma will be pushing to start soon but I’d save that for either West Ham or Fulham. Hopefully Perisic can start the next 2 and then rotate him for Sessegnon vs Fulham.

Don’t think Emerson or any of the front 3 are getting dropped any time soon. IMO

Again - its not always about being "dropped".

One of the difficulties when managing a club is keeping players integrated and motivated. That means when you have a large club, like Spurs, and you want everyone working towards a common goal - you rotate players into the starting line-up, to recognize their importance to the squad, and reward the work they are putting in during training.

To be sure, they have to earn those starts, but when you have a club with more than 11 players who have the quality to start - you rotate. If Richarlison comes in for Son (or Kane or Deki), it would be to reward Richarlison, and keep him motivated to keep earning starts. Its not about "dropping" a player. Ditto for Doherty coming in, or Lenglet, or Bissouma/Skipp (or Perisic/Sessegnon).

At some point we are probably going to see Lucas (or Richalison or a new signing) start for Deki - not because Deki is being dropped.

We need to start thinking in terms of having a quality squad, not a starting XI, and substitutes bench.

Last year, we barely had a starting XI. This year we have more than 11 players that Conte trusts. He will use them all when he sees fit.

This. The sooner we can give competitive minutes to all players , the quicker the entire team can operate on the same wavelength which will help mitigate loss of form, injuries and suspensions.

People need to move past the notion of players being ‘dropped’. We’re about to play every 3 or 4 days as the norm all the way through to mid-November. We’re not picking the same XI every game even if nobody’s injured/suspended. It’s quite likely we’ll start to see Conte make changes to the starting line up with the next 2 or 3 fixtures in mind.

I’ve edited dropped to rotatated. Don’t think after 3 games in which we’ve not suffered a loss that rotation needs to start. Not saying never but just not yet.
