How out of favour must Dier be that - given our injury crisis - that after 2 games of giving dier a chance, ange has gone “Naa, I’d rather play a full back at CB than Eric dier”
Not that I know, just asked as he wasn't on that line up

Ange has shown that he's not scared to give youngsters a go. He's had plenty of time to assess Dorrington (and Phillips) and hasn't picked them. I'm fine with that. We just have to go with what we have and I hope we don't go full on gung ho with our CBs right up the pitch.

I don’t think people should read too much into the Dier decision. I think it’s because Villa have lots of pace and he wanted one CB who can run fairly fast.
the Hojbjerg one is more interesting as Ange would prefer giving two players their first PL starts this season and play another out of position than play the Dane. I can’t think of anything specific about Villa that would influence that decision.
