Can't see anything less than an absolute drubbing this Saturday. With the quality City have and our tired legs, it's going to be an ugly affair all around. Jose will have to make some significant team changes as the likes of Davies, Toby and Lamela have racked up some significant minutes in a short amount of time.

Hugo
Aurier - Rodon - Dier - Tanganga
PEH - Ndombele
Stevie - Kane - Son
Vinicius

Subs: Dele, Sanchez, Lucas, Bale, Tanganga, Lamela, Davies

There is no way Son should be starting..he looked gone at the end.

Hopefully it's still a contest by the second half and we can bring Son in (who looks dead tired). If he's fit to go then start him but I'd have a hard time believing that.

I don't know what the deal is with Aurier, if he can't play then Doherty. Or even Sissoko RWB and Ndombele at CM (assuming he's fit, looked like he picked up a knock too).

Hard to tell who is actually fit and who isn't but this is going to be miserable more than likely. Repeat of the Chelsea/Liverpool games.

Rest all our actual good players & move on

You know what, I agree. Rest the big guns and use this game as chance for Dele, Bale and Tanganga to get competitive minutes. It's only going to go one way and have a very winnable EL game next week.

Hugo
Aurier - Rodon - Dier - Tanganga
Sissoko - Winks
Bale - Dele - Bergwijn
Vinicius

Who is our 3rd keeper because we need for nets along Hugo and Joe. Then play 8 centre half’s in line in front them. Then maybe our team bus in front of that.

The only way I can see us getting anything is if Ndombele, Kane and Lamela have a stormer and Son has a clinical night.

As it is. Lamela will probably be rested and Ndombele will probably have a knock and we will have no one in our team who can pass incisively or maintain possession.

YAY.

Put Eric Dier up front and get Toby to punt it long all game.

I don't think we will rest our top players for this game. It sends a bad message. We've matched well with City in recent fixtures and have a five day break following the match.

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Dier Davies
Hojbjerg Ndombele
Lucas Lamela Son
Kane

Subs: Hart, Doherty, Dier, Tanganga, Sissoko, Dele, Bergwijn, Bale, Scarlett

I think the best way to go is play 7 men
and on the first whistle someone (maybe Alli, Winks or Sissoko) headbutts the ref gets sent off, down to 6 match abandoned 3-0 loss.

It's the best we can hope for and will save us having to watch it :cautious:
